Whatever...it's law nonethelss isn't it? You can't deny it based on the court cases. And you can't deny that the founders believed in the unchanging principles therein stated.

How many quotes from the founding fathers (supporting the principles in the Declaration) do you need to convince you? I suspect none would - you are a polemic.

Thank you for caring and opening your eyes wide enough to see how simple and easy on Americans my plan would be.

I have watched this thread with interest. Its obvious where everyone stands. Now the question is; do you sit out the vote to send Bush a message guaranteeing a nut like Clark, a loon like Dean, or a criminal like Hillary gets the White House in 2004? Im just asking. Please no flames. It just seems to me that that nothing could be worse for America than the abovementioned scenario. Illegals are already here. Is making them legal really worth a Hillary Presidency? A Clark Presidency?

Sorry, you said that it was incorporated into the United States Code as "organic law."

You still have yet to provide the Title and Section.

You can't deny it based on the court cases.

Only if you believe that judges are permitted to write legislation from the bench. News flash: under our system of government, they're not supposed to do that.

And you can't deny that the founders believed in the unchanging principles therein stated.

Didn't deny it for a second.

How many quotes from the founding fathers (supporting the principles in the Declaration) do you need to convince you? I suspect none would - you are a polemic.

None would convince me--because the issue here is not a quotation, or many of them, from the Founding Fathers--the issue here is a United States Code citation that supports your claim.

Riri said earlier in this thread he's leaving the country

Yep, I did say that. And I will if the right opportunity presents itself.

But, after some reflection today, I came to the realization that despite it all there is one silver lining.

I will have the smug satisfaction of knowing that you and other's like you are crying in your kool aid when all this comes to a head.

When the freedom fighters are burning down cities and when Spanish in the numero uno language. When you are paying reparations to Hispanics because they were forced to work bad jobs in bad conditions. When you hae bars on your windows and your neighbor is car jacked at the intersection by El Salvadoran gang memebers.

You'll be crying in your kool-aid..."I never thought it would come to this" "Where's the tolerance--where's the compassion"

And your Mencha co-citizens are going to tell you to shove your compassion and your tolerance up your a$$. Because they won't have same guilt ridden, suicide complex.

Doesn't matter...

The fact that you stated the Declaration of Independence was incorporated into the US code, and the fact that it's not true doesn't matter...

If being a liar doesn't matter, I guess we have nothing else to discus.

organic law
: the body of laws (as in a constitution or charter) that form the original foundation of a government

declaration
a: a statement proclaiming the principles, aims, or policies of a group or government

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania State House (now Independence Hall), approved the Declaration of Independence.

The Declaration sets forth the principles upon which our government was established. It does not have to be in the federal code, in order to be considered a founding document. It does document the principles upon which the government was founded, by approval of the Continental Congress of 1776. It also has been used to formulate laws with respect to the abolitiion of slavery, and in many US Supreme court decisions.

"Kindly show Title and Section."

Just my two cents for what it's worth. Went to the site concerned and from what I could gather, the DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE does not have a "title" and "section", per se. But the document is important enough, unarguably, that it is not required. To say that it is not a part of the USC, would be to relegate it to irrelevance.

Drilling in ANWR would work as well with Mexico as it would w/ the Middle Eastern oil suppliers as far as holding prices down.

Bush tried. But it was defeated in Congress.

The bottom line truth.

You want victory on your little quibble, okay. Feel better now? Doesn't change the fact it's law. Okay, I can't cite a title and code at this moment, but I still believe it is organic law, and obviously, so does the court. Organic as opposed to positive law. And the text of it is in the U.S. code document - I read it there through my search, but it did not have a code or section number. The 4457 hits were actually for any occurrence of the words "declaration" or "independence". Nevertheless, the text of the declaration is there. I couldn't care less if you believe me or not. So, just to get you off my back, I'll say that I can't cite the actual code right now. What now? A pox upon me maybe? You Want my firstborn? Maybe you have a position on the topic of this thread? If you have a position on this topic or some other concrete issue, state it. Otherwise, I am fresh out of time for you.

Time will tell, my friend, time will tell.

Until then you just stay on your guilt induced suicide path. At least you feel all warm and fuzzy.

And after all, isn't that all that matters?

Organic law is not the same as positive law. I don't care what you think. I read it on-line in the US code from a boolean search (1 hit not 4457). The important issue is that it has been shown on this thread that the Declaration is law. So, what's your beef? If your purpose is harrasmsment, get lost.

Do what you have to do, but I seriously doubt you'll leave the country. Alec Baldwin promised all of us in 2000 he would leave, but he's still living in California.
