MEE-OWCH! Could a catfight be brewing between "Saturday Night Live" newscaster Tina Fey and right-wing pundit Ann Coulter?

While presenting Al Franken with his comedy trophy at yesterday's New York Magazine Awards, Fey lauded the liberal author of "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" for skewering the likes of Coulter and Bill O'Reilly, adding: "Have you ever seen Ann Coulter in person? It's like seeing a rat. It's like, ewwww!"

In the context of this thread, yes, she is. Sorry: I know most people around here think she's the second coming, but she's not my cup of tea at all.

Have you ever read Coulter's books? I have. And I've read books by your personal hero. It is meaningless to compare fiction to non fiction, but I enjoyed them both. Hemmingway was Giant of the litterary world. But if you are going to make him your personal role model, you end up looking pretty silly criticizing others for shallowness and narcissism. The man was a post child for self-absorbtion.

Tina Fey has become plain old mean and caustic on the news for SNL. Her scripts are nowhere near funny. She doesn't know wit. When she showed a picture (old one) of Linda Tripp and made an awful statement cutting down her looks, I thought what gives her the right to be so condescending to call people names for being ugly. Of course, she was in that backward way defending the worst excuse for a president Bill Clinton. They should get rid of her due to lack of talent.

This thread's context is an airhead gathering called the New York Magazine Awards, an event featuring narcissistic comments and self-congratulatory backslapping from a bunch of people who have as much substance as the gap between Paris Hilton's ears. Far from piling on Ann Coulter---not that it would take more than a JV waterboy to pile on her adequately---I'm saying I could give less than a rat's ass about what any of these simpletons think.

I've read some of Ann's stuff. She's okay. I've read better---much, much better, in fact, and yes, I'm talking non-fiction vice fiction. If you think she's brilliant, good for you: go with it. Satisfy your inner child or whatever fantasy about Ann you might have for yourself. Personally I don't like my women to look like 13-year-old boys, but that's just me.

After Belushi & Co. quit SNL the show's producers turned to Al Franken as a replacement. Have you seen those episodes? IMO, Franken has no talent at all. Listening to him is akin to listening to chalk scratch a blackboard.

AL FRANKEN GETTING A "COMEDY" AWARD....Liberals do NOT live in the real world...Franken is as funny as a boil on your butt....Liberals are always giving "awards" to one another, supposedly for some brave accomplishment such as trashing Christians, but in fact, the awards are just for being a good liberal who hates anything Christian, conservative, patriotic, wholesome, or true....

And as for the skank on SNL...she is not only a hateful, mindless twit, she is blind.....Ann could take ANY man away from Tina with just a wink....

I'm a married man (quite lucky in that regard). Ann is one of the few women I would sit through a one-on-one dinner with in a quiet restaurant, in order to ask and listen as she opines. Brains reside in the Coulter cranium, but have somehow eluded the Fey faux intellect.
