[3] Note to Connectthedots: Square dancing with lesbians was not specifically addressed. Typical swarm response to create division that does not exist. CTD dos not square dance. Too much like the sinful Klmpen dancing of the heretical hyper-Calvinists

I suppose it is for those like yourself who have passed through multiple theologies in their lifetime.There is no better way to know the enemies of the gospel than from the inside

I don't think you understand the implication of verse 41. Think: Joseph of Arimathea when you read it. Think: French underground during WWII when you read it. Think that Jesus simple said that no harm no foul..there was no salvation promise added on it nor an offer of the rank of disciple

It is true that the verses speak of earthly, but I believe it also speaks of the many things we hold dear to us. Our own persuits of happiness, a security blanket {a comfort zone}, which we are not willing to give up. In other words, we are creating our own stumbling blocks. You always were to smart and insightful to be an arminian

I didn't know this about Registered! I should have known simply by his genius of artistic humor and wit that he was Reformed!:^) Cordially, Diamond we have tried to restrain public displays of our humor because Calvinists are not suppose to be funny..just excellent at starting fires without matches.:>)

Your beneficence;
In an unabashedly shameless works related ploy to gain your favor, and a seat in your enlightened cabinet, I have formated the GRPL list. This formatting will allow for easier cutting and pasting in the "To" box.

I am not Calvinist because it maintains that God shows favoritism, and it undervalues faith and love. Only in your mind X
Remember that God chose Jacob over Essau
The depraved do not value faith or divine love.

I submit P-Marlowe for your consideration as Senior Observer. His post #342 is clear evidence that he is less Arminian and more Calvinist than I. I vote no. Marlowe has shown himself a cry baby and that is one thing that Calvinists can not abide.
When He grows up let him apply

The petition did not even warrant a reply. Grant Swank has a better shot at it.

Notwithstanding, the Lord set his delite in thy fathers to loue them, and did choose their seede after them, euen you aboue all people, as appeareth this day. (Deu 10:15 GB) You onely haue I knowen of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visite you for all your iniquities. (Amo 3:2 GB)
Deu 7:6 For thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that [are] upon the face of the earth.
Deu 7:7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye [were] the fewest of all people:

How about a rousing, light-hearted chorus of "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God"?
My second favorite hymn ..Yea GOD!!
http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/m/i/mightyfo.htm A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of Gods own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: Gods truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
