Morning from Chile...great Fall colors Westy. We're just starting Spring down here and the desert is blooming. Went to the nearby desert and wandered around with a local guide who knew all about every plant and critter. Saw some incredibly beautiful parrots, called Tricahues, (pron. tree-cow-ways).

Saw all kinds of critters, fox, snakes and a million flowers, which I call poseys but my wife tells me they have other names??

Morning Sweets,

It's foggy here, as usual. Heading out to the wife's riding school for horsey stuff, and lunch with wine.

"Heading out to the wife's riding school for horsey stuff"

I am so jealous! I can't think of anything right now that sounds closer to heaven than a brisk ride on a foggy morning. Have fun.

You pinged me to that sex thread, and then I saw the post where you lectured some guy for always showing up on "those threads"....Heheheh....

I liked your long post...you and LL think a lot along the same lines.

Not going to post on that thread, but for all the whiners, male and female alike, I think I'll ask LL to write a book. She's had this one down pat since her mid-twenties and still does.

*still twitterpated*

Val,

So sorry to learn the news of your sister's cancer. I hope the new treatment will do the job...it is a really scary thing to find a clear mamo and then 3 weeks later find stage 4 news...That is terrible. Is this a more rare form of breast cancer? There are all the general headers for something...like lung cancer...our friend just had surgery for it..When I went to study up on what this involved I was suprised to learn all the varities there are. Finger crossed and prayers going up...

For something to be that far along is immposible some one made a mistake in her records. For it takes year for it to grow that much.

I knew (or had a hunch) for a few years I had breast Cancer only when I had an unbearable hernia did I mention it and the hernia had to wait for a year. It was 9 cm.

What I feel are signs is wavering energy and decisions. Soon you only do what must be done and the rest is dismissed from the mind.

I pray your sister is able to let go and let those things that will help be able to have a chance.

Some things we have no control over accept keeping the faith by reading scriptures and uplifting works.

Only invited those things in her life that feed and nurture good health.

I'm sorry to hear that Val. That will be a big worry. Does she have children?

I'd love to. Maybe again someday soon. I'll bet Christine can shoot circles around me with a handgun but I'm not bad with a rifle.

African river hippo Funani, left, gives her female calf, Jazi, a little nudge as they swim inside a 150,000-gallon pool exhibit at the San Diego Zoo, Friday, Oct. 3, 2003. The 3-month-old, 260-pound Jazi is the third female calf to be born to Funani in the last four years. Baby hippos, which weigh between 80 and 100 pounds at birth, are born swimming and do virtually everything underwater. (AP Photo/San Diego Zoo, Ken Bohn)

Just back in...we had a fine time, as always, shooting.

Todays targets were the fearsome Walmart's cheapest sodas, but they proved no match for weapons ranging from .22 pistols and rifle, all the way up to .45 1911's.

Both Christine and Valerie did great.

Cheers, Lynn
