Yeah, the Novak/White House leak is amusing.
The mainstream media are all over this case -- despite the lack of evidence. They are reporting on "rumors" alone, and they are just about to crash land on their red blustery faces.
This is going to be fun to watch. For once a baseless anti-Bush administration manufactured story is gonna get nipped in the bud with sharp pincers and I hope to hear some high-pitched screaming from the press. Let's wake up all the sleeping dogs with this one!

I'm with Mo......I just find it sick that so much of this stuff has such little ground to report and yet they (the media) have been doing nothing but reporting things like this as if they are full fledged wrongdoings.

It's on the leeward shore of North Manitou Island. The ranger station is about a mile to the North. The Manitou Islands were some of the first places settled in Northern Michigan because you could get there relatively easily through the lakes. At that time it was easier than busting trails through the thick forest.

the islands were taken over by the Government in the sixties with what's called the National Lakeshore. The last permanent resident was kicked out a few years ago as she retired. She was the post office. Period.

The high population of the islands was the mid to late eighteen hundreds. It was a much easier life off the island as they cleared the land and built railroads and roads.
