Student cuts off penis and tongue after drinking hallucinogenic tea
A student cut off his own penis and his tongue after drinking an infusion of the latest drugs craze to sweep Germany.
The 18-year-old, only named as Andreas W, from Halle in Germany drank a tea made with the hallucinogenic angels' trumpet plants.
His mother said: "Andreas was behaving normally the whole day until he left the house and disappeared into the garden for a couple of minutes."
When he returned to the house he was wearing a towel wrapped around him and was bleeding heavily from his mouth and between his legs.
The emergency doctor who arrived a few minutes later said the student had cut off his penis and his tongue with garden shears and it was impossible to reattach the organs.
Dr Andreas Marneros, from the local psychiatric hospital the student was admitted to, said: "Andreas will have to receive psychological help for years. Tea from Angels' Trumpets is extremely dangerous as the drug cannot be dosed."
Angels' Trumpets, known for their fragrant and trumpet shaped flowers, have increasingly become popular as an alternative drug in Germany.

(I haven't read the thread yet so maybe it is already mentioned???) But this sounds like belladonna. The plants grow very well in Hawaii, I've seen them in the South Bay in California. I knew an idiot years ago who used to take belladonna and it made him crazy, put him in an entirely other (fake!) reality. Sounds abslutely hideous. Drug culture. If some drugs are good, then they get boring or tame, so some people will be forced by their desire for a high or escape from their own mental prison to go for ever weirder drugs.
I say public floggings for selling drugs, (any kind) and second offense, death. And let people grow their own marijuana but no selling. (Or the flogging sets in)

Shouldn't he be a runner up for the Darwin Award. He for sure is out of the gene pool even if still alive.

Just damn.
If you want on the new list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list... [As i mentioned, the B/C & JD! lists are going to float into and out of whack over the forseeable future, while I try to cobble a rig back together for myself. My apologies for any incovenience or misunderstandings in this time frame. New signups/removals may be flaky in this time-frame as well; please bear with me, and keep in mind you may have to FReemail me more than once for me to get it done. Thanks again!]

Hmmm - maybe it is Jimson weed (datura), but Belladonna smells really really sweet and Jimson does not. Jimson - datura - was used in India in as a poison, thugs used it to kill people. It is highly poisonous and kills, after it causes one to go crazy. I wonder which this poor idiot used, Belladonna or Jimson? Belladonna gets to be a rather large bush, I've seen them 10 feet tall, and it's trumpet like flowers dangle gracefully, whereas Jimson is a short plant, kind of scarey looking, with small trumpet flowers that stick out and aren't very good smelling at all.

Atropo belladonna (deadly nightshade) is a member of the solanaceae family, and so is brugmansia datura (angel's trumpets), but angel's trumpets and belladonna are not the same plant.
Brugmansia are very popular with gardeners. I had no idea they could cause hallucinations.

It's a long trend. One who cuts off his own penis in spite of himself is a called an autopiotomist. One of the authors of the Cambridge Dictionary was the first to actually be called this term. Useless trivia--sorry.

If they could just restore his tongue, only, he could qualify as a Democrat presidential candidate. He certainly qualifies in the intellect department.

Don't count this kid out yet, I know of many women who would be HAPPY in a marriage with this kind of guy....... sad huh?
To: DeFault User; Argh
So this kid is now the poster child for Generation Ex........
To: richardtavor
autopiotomist Maybe we could just refer to him as a do-it-yourself vasectomy. Rather drastic procedure, though. Lately, these guys have used butcher knives and firecrackers. This is the first one I recall who used garden shears.
