In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
kibitzer \kuh-BIT-ser, or KI-but-ser\ noun
one who looks on and often offers unwanted advice or comment, especially at a card game;
broadly: one who offers opinions
kibitz \kuh-BITS, or KI-buts\ verb
to act as a kibitzer; to offer unsolicited and unwanted advice or comment, expecially at a card game
Example sentence: Fletcher had a reputation at the lunchtime card table as a kibitzer, always letting the players know how they should have played the previous hand.
Etymology: Yiddish kibetsn
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Since I've lived in Montana, we've had measurable snow in every month except July. The old timers tell me that July 4, 1986 had four inches of snow.

Turntable? Yeah I still have one but I'm afraid my copy of "Fire on the Mountain" is long gone. I saw Charlie live in Tuscaloosa back in the 70's on a double bill with the Doobie Brothers. Great show.

My copy is still pristine. But I don't have a turntable. My favorite song on the album was "Willie Jones" then "Damn Good Cowboy".
