I'm gonna give the guy who stood me up another chance. He said he has the tickets to the movie already, so we'll meet at the theater tonight. uhhhh... well, that's the plan. I like Robert Duvall and he's in this new Kevin Costner western.

Hi Loddy....I know that its been a long, long time since you have heard from me, and I apologize for that....just too much going on around here, and things needing to be resolved....it was just easier to stay offline for a while, and gets things together....
Both BigDom and I had some health issues....no need to get into what the problems were, just suffice it to say, that poor BigDom and I have been through the wringer, with tests, and doctor visits, and lab visits and hospital visits....but we are both feeling better, and getting back to better health.
Aunt Helen in California, is not doing well at all....she has had more and more incidents of falling, and losing consciousness for a while, and her health in general is declining...so her daughter and son and law are building a small home for her on their property, kind of like what is called a 'granny unit', so that they can keep a more watchful eye on her....she is almost 80 now, so she just says, in her usual way "Getting old is hell".....But we will all feel better, after she makes the move, and is closer to her daughter.....
Big news about Andy....he just bought a house in Seattle....the price was outrageous.....$350,000...but this house was just in the area he wanted, a nice upscale residentail neighborhood, near to downtown, and also near to his workplace....its 42 steps up off the sidewalk, which gives the effect of living in a treehouse, surround by huge old trees....its a 3 bedroom home, with 2 baths, 2 kitchens, an office, living room, dining room, family room, a fireplace, a patio, and just lots of other extras....it was built in 1914, and is just as cute as can be...he was looking and looking for just the right house, and his agent found this house, practically the minute it came on the market, and dragged him out there that very evening...by that night he made an offer, it was accepted the next day, so if all goes well, the final papers, will be signed early next week.....hes so excited....his money will go toward his own home, instead of to a landlord....so we have our fingers crossed that all goes well, and nothing goes wrong at the last minute.....Andy said, that what he paid is not really high, at least for Seattle, and the area he wanted...some of the house on his block, newer and bigger homes, have just recently sold for over a million dollars...so he figures he got a good deal, by getting a little older and small home....thats all he needs for right now...and its big enough for him to get a roommate to help with the roommates rent helping Andy pay for his mortgage....he should be able to easily get a roommate as the lower floor bedroom has its own bathroom and its own kitchen, so its almost like a little apartment....the main floor and the upper level would be for Andy, and that is plenty of room for him...so he is one excited young man, and we are excited for him....
BigDom and I have to have our furnace replaced...its 17yrs old, and its on its last legs, so within the next few weeks, we will have to have that replaced...last year it was the roof, this year the furnace....there is always something of another that has to be replaced....
We still miss our Mr. Dizzy...hes been gone a few months now, but now a day passes, that we dont think of him, with his cute smashed in face and his very sweet nature....but its comforting to know, that he is buried out back in our little pet cemetary, along with our last three dogs....whenever I look towards the tree under which they are all buried, I think of them all, and the joy they gave us.....
When I feel up to it, I am going over to the pet shelter in our area, and hopefully come home with a new cat....Andy wants us to get a cat...he says, we gave Dizzy such a cushy, loving home for the last three years of his life, ,and there are so many unwanted cats in shelters, that he feels any cat we get, will be one lucky kitty....so in time, we will get another cat....
Well, thats the update....hopefully, when all things here get ironed out, and things are somewhat back to normal, I will be able to return to FR....I do miss it, but have been gone so long...have not even felt up to lurking, to dont know what has been going on with everyone....let me know, if there is any big or new o surprising news with anyone.....
Say hi to all for me, and that hopefully one of these days, I will be back....

Lamb chops sounds good. I'm still semi-full from a fantastic lunch of catfish, corn on the cob and coleslaw with sweet tea and apple cobbler for desert.
