I would like a hardwood floor because on top goes the oriental rug which is large...but he wants carpet. And he wants carpet down in front of the sinks and I say tiles with a nice area run on top....we have to come to an understanding soon..we are closing in on that.

I'm with you .. hardwood in the bedroom

What do you mean by sink? .. is that the bathroom

Sounds like every looks lovely .. I really like the look of hardwood floors, but with my kids I'd be afraid to do it .. I can just see them getting a head start and sliding across it and then knocking their teeth out.

The may be girls .. but they act like boys at times

Yep the area in question is in front of the bathroom sinks. but today a friend was over and said ( and it probably is true) that it would look choppy since in the shower area where the shower, tub an toille are is a nice tile from Mexico...that the carpet would look best. Then went on to say that even tho the carpet in the guestrooms is nearly new since there is hardly any traffic there, still the whole area should be carpeted so it all harmonizes and doesn't look patchy...I wouldn't mind all that really but I dread moving ALL THAT FURNITURE....and the hall is narrow and I can just see painting all over again after all the wooldwork and walls get dinged! Dang...I think it would be easier to move into a new house!
