Sorry, I don't have your sunny outlook....They are comitting suicide over in Iraq, they are bitching and their people back here are bitching how hard it all is....But then I'm just a sour old man from another age....

Well, it's 140 degrees over there and to be honest, I'd bitch too. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't do my job.

The media tends to report on the doom and gloom stories, they don't report on all the ass kick'n our troops did and still do .. they don't report on how soldiers took money our of their OWN pockets to help get schools up and running .. they don't talk about how the Iraqi people are glad that we are over there and how many feel so much safer since Saddam was kicked out.

Are there a few soldiers that are weak and not up to the job? .. yes but then there have been soldiers like that in almost every war we've been in. But that doesn't mean that all of them are weak

If you assigned the 3rd Infantry to hold the Belagio Casino Hotel in Las Vegas and gave them Govt. credit cards, some of them would still bitch and get suicidal.

How hot was it in the South Pacific in WWII?? Where were the AC units???Where were the people in the States bitching about how their dear boys were being abused??? Where were the suicides??? Where were the self inflicted wounds to avoid duty????
