How is the economy in Raleigh? I'm glad I got out of that mexican magnet, low tech crap hole.

I have no idea. The economy South of Raleigh in Cary-Research Triagle Park-Chapel Hill is holding its hi-tech own with very few layoffs. IBM has laid off a couple a hundred here, but that is about it.

We need more Mexicans, I can't find anyone to do the lawn right and you still can't get a good tamale in town.

Yes, dogs require a lot of attention. Cats can more or less handle more extended time alone, although Nermal doesn't agree with me. He lays a guilt trip on me every time he sees me packing to leave any more and when I get home, he let's me know that my behavior is completely unacceptable.

It HAS been a long time. This has been a year from hell at work. I have been away for long periods or making long commutes daily and when I am home I just don't have as much time or I am just too sleepy to do much FReeping. It's starting to wind down a bit now but things at work are still very chaotic.

I am happy to not have much freeping time... unemployment SUCKS! Although I do lurk when things are slow. We just moved into the 13th floor of P&G towers.. better than underneth the parking garage where we were!

We have some cats around the neighborhood wild and this little mama cat that Budge feeds keeps having kittens, but something usually happens to them before the kittens are old enough to leave. Budge has a surviving one from a litter about a year ago and then she had another litter that we think a tomcat killed. Now there is another one. One of the kittens disappeared a couple of weeks ago so I started bringing the other 2 in at night. A few days ago the others disappeared. We looked all over for them and the mama was spending so much time hanging around in front of the house that we thought something had happened to them too. We even went to the animal shelter to see if they'd gotten picked up. This afternoon they turned up in the neighbors' carport. So now I have them in the house and think I will keep them here until they find homes. I think one of them is going to FReeper "parsifal". He wants one.

The whole city is socked in with smoke. Almost unbreathable.

Be carefull with the smoke, you can get severe upper respiratory problems if you breath it to much

It was 93 degress here. Mike and his sister took the kids to the beach today (she didn't invite me) .. they didn't do a very good job putting the sunscreen on the kids .. and now they look like a red and white stripe zebra

Oh well .. at least the kids had fun and I got ALOT of cleaning done and even took a nap ..
