Those Gyrenes always did have the best uniforms. Unlike the "unemployed bus driver" dress uniform jacket that they gave us Coasties... :-) We always hated that getup. And we coasties always hated the Air Force... cuz that's where they stole the uniform. :-) The Tropical Blue uniform though (light blue short sleeve shirt, dark blue slacks, and white combo cover and black patent leather shoes) with the law enforcement black leather gear package... now THAT could be made to work. :-) It sure seemed to be popular to wear off duty in San Diego.
