I've been applying for real crap jobs (part of why my attitude is bad). And I'll take them if anyone will give them to me!
I get that a lot: We won't hire you because "you're way above what we have" and "you'll leave the moment something better comes along". But the problem is there is nothing available suitable for me. So that kind of attitude on the part of employers simply isn't cutting it. Is it better to have something unsuitable or nothing at all? One way, at least, you may be miserable but you won't starve and lose everything.
And yeah, I will leave at moment's notice, it's true. After the dirt that was dealt me no one is ever getting my loyalty again. So they have the right of it. But there is absolutely nothing out there...and all the self-righteous suppostedly conservative people you see on some threads (not this one!!!) who say "why don't you stop whining about no jobs and get a job at Burger King, they're hiring" are so full of **it! You just try getting a job at Burger King with graduate degrees and 23 years of experience in senior management for huge organizations!
