The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

My dear friend Argh, If you are funkling alone in the middle of the night there can only be two reasons, 1) you want to funkle in the middle of the night, or 2) you can't sleep.........
Now, if you WANT to funkle alone - then give it your best shot, however, if you just can't sleep, I have a remedy for you - borrow someone's children for 3 days - small children - I can assure you after keeping them out of your stuff, cleaning them, feeding them, cleaning them, explaining the word "no" to them, and cleaning them again - you will sleep like the dead............

OK, I've added the latest members to the entmoot forum: Dancing Eagle, electrical wizard (Prof Engineer?), and Seamus.

Well, I did some looking around this morning, but wasn't really able to figure out why you're getting the login error. The only thing I can think of is maybe the ' in your username is causing an error in the database. Dunno.
Anyway, I ended up deleting your profile, so go ahead and register again, and I'll give you access to the Entmoot forum. Sorry about that, Master Dwarf.

I think so Alkhin! He goes, I think, from WN to mstar, and then to you, and his next adventure after that is not yet known!

Hey! Hope you guys are doing alright....just getting a late, not so good start here....trying to catch up with "pings" and just what the heck is going on with my life.
Out of pocket yesterday with Terry doing a "re-entry" thingy, coming home from his Maryland work week. So far he has a couple days next week in San Diego and then on to Los Alamos....so, on those two calls, because of my commitments here at home, I will not be able to go.
Also looks like during the week before Labor Day and the week after when I am planning to go with him along with FF, Terry will be not only in the LA area, but also San Diego. If you would like for our little friend to visit San Diego in addition to LA, I could keep him a little longer the week following Labor Day, since Alkhin does not want him until Sept.6 on. Would that work out?
Terry's work schedule gets so "crazy" sometimes I could just scream...but at times we do have some nice surprises and have the opportunity to visit some interesting, fun places....and the $$$ is getting our daughter through school and helps us with food and shelter. So I'm not complaining.
WN, if you need FF for longer than you thought, I could take him a later. I don't want you to feel rushed.
Ya'll let me know and we will do our best to work with you.
About the "pings" on the Ent Moot, kinda thinking about it since it seems we would have been, by then, one of the proud hosts of our little FF. What is the date and what would we have to do at this time? There is a chance Terry and I could come...could we say a "maybe" depending on his travel schedule and when my daughter returns to school? I don't want to rule it out...really have gotten fond of you guys on the site and would like to meet you all. Is a maybe OK here?

Looks great!
Do you mind me asking how much that cost? - I have a section about the same length between me and my neighbor and the store that I would love to have a visual screen on... I have that Laurel Hedge rooting now with that purpose in mind. But those pre-made panels sure are a quick solution!

Nope, didn't chicken out. Just being a responsible parent.

Pinging Alkhin and WN to your Flat Frodo ponderings..... Doesn't sound like anything you said conflicts with what they want to do.
As for Entmoot.... It seems perfectly reasonable for you to not 'know for sure' about whether you are coming, not knowing us long and all....
Here is a page that will answer 'mostly' your initial questions.
