You should've seen the 9/11 remembrance her class did this year. They did a powerpoint presentation, and broadcast it into all of the classrooms at morning announcements. I was impressed.

It had to be approved by the principal, of course. The only change she made was to tell them they forgot God Bless America. They added it to the end, and it sort of wrapped everything up.

Just got through watching the premiere of Battlestar Galactica. Hubby LOVED that show in the 70s...I just wanted Starbuck (er, that's DIRK BENEDICT to you guys...Starbuck is FEMALE now...she's GOOD!!! I like her!)

One reason I decided I could deal with the job at this college I'm at now is that I was told when I was hired that I would not be prohibited at all from sharing my faith in class. I was surprised at that. But, pleasantly. And I've never had anyone take issue with it.

And I didn't know if he liked hot stuff or not -- but fireballs are the hard candy that I keep sitting around here and that box had empty space in it. If he doesn't like 'em he can share! :-)

I hope you're squeezing in some batteries, too. I think it's already been suggested that MREs have batteries in them, too. Batteries are almost as important as food to the modern GI.

Wassupwitdat? If yah wanna change the story... fine... why bother changing characters into something they aren't? wouldn't it be easier just to change the whole story to some other story?

I have not put any batteries in Steve's packages! I didn't think of it. But, last shipment to Tom's guys had some in the corner spaces. They are good for that!

Actually, she's very down to earth and I hate it more than anything that I didn't show up when I should have...she's a great den leader, but she does expect a lot from the boys...Matthew just loves it!

He aced the test with a 100%...sat down and 3 minutes later turned it in to her and said "Would you like me to say the Knife Safety Pledge now?" and she looked at his test and said "No thank you, this will do!"

He got his knife safety patch and earned his third red bead.

It's not easy work, this bear cub business...the boys really have to work at it and I hate it when I hinder Matthew's progress, as I almost did this time. But he was never worried and was cheerful about the whole thing...he said "Oh, don't worry...I'll get the red bead eventually!"

I love that kid more than life.

Also, magazines wouldn't fit in those boxes this time. Did not forget but it works so well when I can open those chip boxes and just tape the dip in the box so I know the guys get the chips and dip at the *same* time. Don't know if you can tell in the photo but that box was bulging with just the bean dip and salsa baggie added.

Well, yah... but in in this case it would be like turning Aragorn into a really strong main character as a female role. Sure, it might make for a good story, but at that point it is undeniably a *different* story.
