As long as it's done in an orderly and efficient military manner...
God forgive me, but us Coasties have always had a soft spot for the Marines. Maybe it's because historically we've always ended up being LCVP drivers. Dunno.
One time on one of my ships we ended up carrying around a platoon of Force Recon Marines for about a week. It was a very strange week. We got to know these guys pretty well... and they just weren't LIKE anyone else. Crazy bastards. One of 'em taught be how to field-strip a SAW... a weapon we didn't have on my ship, but I really like those...
I had a feeling we could'a asked one of those guys to jump overboard and unfoul a line from the propeller while it was running... and we would'a had to grab him before he went over the side saying... "DUDE-- just kidding..."
Gotta luv 'em. :-)

Just got in from nearly a week away.
The dogs are ecstatic. Since their main thrill in life is being let out...or being let in..., on seeing me, they are requesting one or the other in succession rapidly...getting tired here...
Happy to see them too, though it doesn't make up for missing the kids.

Apparently is *was* over my head... still don't get it... :-)
