The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hey, hey, hey,
hope you are all ok.
Who says I can't write poetry...its in my blood.
Wanted to give a "heads up" on some new Tolkien stuff we found when we went to our local, friendly Christian bookstore.
We really hit the "jackpot" as they had a hugh table of all things Tolkien, including two books I had not seen before. From what I have read so far they seem to be good. Anyway, the titles are;
"Following Gandalf; Epic Battles and Moral Victory In The Lord Of The Rings" by Matthew Dickerson, pub.2003
"The Gospel According to Tolkien, Visions of the Kingdom in Middle-earth" by Ralph C. Wood, who is the University Professor Of Theology and Literature at Baylor University, pub. 2003
If you already know all this, then please excuse the ring.
Terry, I guess, is still in traveling mode as I have not heard from him as of this evening.
Also, Wn, do we need 17 bookmarks or more?

Friday's off is nice. I am supposed to come in for 2 hours on Friday mornings to do paperwork. But, if I spend extra time here during the other 4 days it's not required. So, to me, it only makes sense to work an extra hour a couple of hours on other days and forget Friday!!!

Mstar, we need 25 bookmarks. We are doing 25 stockings. 16 got Tom's platoon and 9 for him to give to others at his discretion.

Hey All!!!
Yes it is pouring up here. I'm only gonna stay at the waterin' hole for a little bit. I gotta git over the bachpad and see if the little creek out back is running through my living room.

Nice....
Was over on the Religous Forum reading theology. Oddly enough it was good stuff. (Ksen's posting the "Institutes") I'll avoid the fires, though, I think.

Hi!
Just back from Monday music and getting the bread in the oven. It's raining / sleeting out there...goody.
I think I need to plan to get up earlier than usual in case it turns to snow and ice. Give myself time to clear the car and take it easy on the drive in.
I think this'll be goooood bread this time around.

heh... yuh need tuh be more worried 'bout the third item...
To: Wneighbor
Ok, we will set to gettin' 'em together. Aimee' has finshed 15, so making the additional 10 should not take too long. Hope are well.
