The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

What we want to know was how to type it so it will show up like that!

By using HTML code for the < and > symbols, thus:
<img src="URL">
< = <
> = >
" = "
And remember that you need an HTML tag (such as a paragraph) somewhere in your message for the code to kick in and be displayed like you want.

What a labor of love, mrsnad! I have a quilt that is one of the last ones my paternal great aunt made when she was 75. I had gone with my Daddy to visit her on her 100th birthday. I had been married just a few months, and she gave it to us as a wedding gift. It is definitely one of those that was made for warmth, not looks, but I do love it.

Just heard from Dad - everyone who was in that crash made it home safely, but the car was totalled. What makes it worse is that it belonged to one of their friends, who is currently at college. Not sure what insurance will think of that. It was a old beat up Corolla that wasn't worth all THAT much...but that doesn't mean she won't be upset.
They all say it wasn't the fault of the guy driving - someone pulled out in front of him and he hit a guard rail rather than crash into the guy. The cynical big sister in me wonders if they were driving too fast for the traffic and weren't actually cut off, but I guess we'll never know that. The guy that caused the accident didn't stop, so we don't have his side of the story and they didn't get a license or anything.
So...in any case, thanks for all your prayers - they're all right!

I'm being very productive. Didn't bring a lunch and left my money at home.
To: Overtaxed
That is NOT a good way to go through the day.

Yes. I have some banana chips, and a trail mix that has chocolate raisins and stuff. Just had some of the freebie ice cream in the freezer. It's kind of rainy and gloomy today so now I've got some hot tea.

Did I miss pictures of the NH moot?No. My mouse is plugged into the slot that the connector for downloading pics needs to go. I'll have to wait until SSQ gets home to have him hook up the other mouse in a different place on the box so that I can download the pics. My computer abilities are VEY limited compared to most folks in the Hole.
