The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.

Is your hubby a massage therapist? SSQ goes about every 3 months or so for a deep muscular massage. Ever since he had his back trouble a couple of years ago, he tries to make sure the muscles won't ever torque again like they did before.

I made it clear that not only was he NOT to talk to her like that when I was around - that if I ever even heard a hint of him doing it anywhere else I would be after his rear!

Good for you! I told off the husband of a new friend of mine once. He and SSQ were in Grad school together; back to back desks in a tiny office. Nancy and I became good freinds, but I noticed he NAGGED her all the time. Every time he talked to her, he'd start the sentence with "Dammit, Nancy." One day, I asked him if her first name was Dammit or Nancy. When he looked at me like I had two heads, I told him I was sick of him ragging her all the time. If he wanted to do it, wait until they were alone, cause I didn't wanna hear it! Her eyes were as big as saucers cause she didn't know I was gonna say that; I didn't know until he'd gotten on my last nerve that day.

Anyway, I don't remember him nagging her anymore, so it must have done some good. She laughed about it later! I just can't stand to hear that kind of verbal abuse.

Why tank ye verra much. Just got of the phone with the new little mamma- delivery was very easy. No complications. She's feeling "good" which I'm guessing means "blessedly not pregnant anymore!"

I don't know if any of you have received this, but my nephew (In Richmond, by the way) sent this to me. I thought it was a hoot!!

Subject: Baptist Dog
A Baptist preacher and his wife decided to get a new dog. Ever mindful of the congregation, they knew the dog must also be a Baptist. They visited kennel after kennel and explained their needs. Finally, they found a kennel whose owner assured them he had just the dog they wanted. The owner brought the dog to meet the pastor and his wife.

"Fetch the Bible," he commanded. The dog bounded to the bookshelf, scrutinized the books, located the Bible, and brought it to the owner. "Now find Psalm 23," he commanded. The dog dropped the Bible to the floor,and showing marvelous dexterity with his paws, leafed through and finding the correct passage, pointed to it with his paw. The pastor and his wife were very impressed and purchased the dog.

That evening, a group of church members came to visit. The pastor and his wife began to show off the dog, having him locate several Bible verses. The visitors were very impressed. One man asked, "Can he do regular dog tricks, too?" "I haven't tried yet," the pastor replied. He pointed his finger at the dog. "HEEL!" the pastor commanded. The dog immediately jumped on a chair, placed one paw on the pastor's forehead and began to howl. The pastor looked at his wife in shock and said,

"Good Lord! He's Pentecostal !"

I broke down and finally bought one of those blasted, fancy-schmancy graphing calculators. It'll take forever to learn how to use it. grrrr...
