The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

My mother's grandparents both have Indian blood. And it is a doozy since one side is Cherokee and the other is Comanche.

I really adore pecan pie, Suzi. If you make it with plenty of bourbon in the filling, Back when the kids were in school and I was chairing our annual Christmas Bazaar, some good friends got together one year and made meals for my family for the weekend of the Bazaar. They knew I wouldn't home most of the time, and Mama wasn't there that year. One of them made Pecan-Chocolate Chip Tarts. They were like Pecan pies with a little boubon and chocolate chips in a sort of cream cheese based crust. They were the most lucscious things!!!

My greatgrandfather was named Oseiola. He changed his first and middle names to "Otis Berry", O. B. for short.

The best local mandolinist gets miffed at me occasionally I think, though...'cause I have a dandy mandolin that I'm using for IRISH and SCOTTISH stuff, 'steada using it the way Bill Monroe intended. I do see his point! ohoh. you just go right on playin' what you want Rosie. I just have to acknowledge the master.
