The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Well, I can't say I'm accomplishing anything. Tammie came over and we're watching Conan the Barbarian. And laughing a lot. We have no wine. We need no wine. We are silly enough already!

At least you get to be online at work!
Went to the bookstore. It's raining. Really heavily. Now I get to finish homework... ugh.

I am thinkin it is the Bob Marley music. No work happens to Bob Marley. I just find myself bobbing my head and shoulders and smilin'.

At least you get to be online at work! True. Plus the supervisor won't be in until about 9 tonight.

Ain't got no Bob Marley. (Should I add it to the list?) Prolly listen to some Billy Joel first. Then maybe some Beethoven. Or Copland. So many choices.

Dolphin is a most delicious fishous.
not the mammal. The fish.
And now you guys have reminded me of a favorite scene in a hilarious movie. Bedazzled. I just crack up at the beach scene with Brendan Fraser. I always liked the sixty's one with Dudley Moore and Peter Cook.
the song..
Mayo - nayo -- naise
Swimming by the sandy shore
Dancing up among the waves
Dolphin, dolphin I adore
Everything you are
You're so much more
than a fish to me
My playful friend
beneath the sea
EE-EE EE-EE-EE-EE-EE-ee-ee
I have to stop.

Excellent...
Got a bit more work done. There's this novel sitting on my desk that just wants to be read, though. You'd never guess what sort of book, though!
Oh well, back to the grindstone. Sigh...

Why are you working TODAY? Did they get you IT folks in to calm the masses of students who are experiencing internet withdrawal? We got them turned on Saturday, with the exception of a few who have network cards configured incorrectly, bad patch cables 'cause they're using the same one they ran over a couple hundred times with their desk chair last semester, or various and sundry other little problems.
And then there are the worms that we can't seem to shake. Every time it looks like everything is clean, it turns out there's one more machine hidden away in a vault somewhere that is STILL broadcasting garbage 'cause it's infected with Nachi. I'm getting frustrated. Also haven't had anything to eat today but a bagel and brownie, which might have something to do with my mood...
To: Sam Cree
Very typical scene of here too.
Dolphin fish are as gorgeous as it gets. Though I've pulled a few redfish up that were spectacular themselves, for a bit.
Sam, you ever go to the wmi website?
