grumble. Forest fires knocked out Shaw cable since late Friday night. It just came up now!! My AT&T cell phone is still out of service tho. It must be Washington's fault. The fire that is. *LOL* It's a super bad one however. People up north of Kamloops being evacuated. We appear to have raging fires on both ends of us. North and South!!

It's hard to believe that it's been nearly three decades since The Boss burst onto the musical front page.
Walk!?
You made those babies WALK? You are a mean mommie for sure.

Here is a sausage recipe my Dad found. It was the 3rd from last page in a 1-1/2" stack of recipes. With his failing vision - macular degeneration, lens implants, etc. it took from the day you asked until today to find it.
This is a time-consuming recipe--it should be started a day or even two days in advance--but the flavor of the homemade sausage, strongly dosed with Cognac, is worth the trouble.
SAUSAGE
1 1/4 pounds lean pork tenderloin, cut into cubes
10 ounces fresh pork fat, also cubed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup Cognac
Grind together pork and pork fat in meat grinder twice.
place in large bowl and add remaining ingredients. Mix well, cover and refrigerate overnite.
You owe my Dad big time!

Do I have to promise to be good too?
Or was that forced upon you only?
And who forced it upon you?
And why?
