LOVE was a phenomenal band...just listened to "7 and 7 is...","My Little Red Book",and a couple of other tunes this past weekend...it stands tall still.I believe one of the recent English throw-back bands did a cover of the Love tune that had excellant Spanish guitar riffing in it...don't recall the tune just now but the remake band was The Damned...or maybe The Cult...don't bother to keep track of the copy-cats...although its interesting they would discover the music after all these years.

Since he got out of jail three years ago, Arthur Lee has performed here in New York to sell out crowds, where he has largely performed his Love material for the first time in years. Forever Changes is a great album too, btw.

Yes, it was way before its time. Arthur Lee was a genius. It's just too bad he was unstable. When he was in prison, there was a movement to get him released. If memory serves, he fired a gun up into the air, in LA. He got years of jail time for doing it.
