I agree with 2 but I can't agree with 1. It is a great album full of innovation but not as good as it could have been if Brian had stayed away from the "d" word.

You could make an argument for Pet Sounds being the best album ever and you are definately right about it having the worst cover (what are the Beach Boys doing in a Petting Zoo anyway?).

Best album cover was on a Herb Alpert & Tijuana Brass album, although I hope to G-d that Natalie Maines & the Chicks With (Censored) don't try to replicate it.
