My wife and I know her girl friday here in Nashville. I have heard she is very "demanding" but she pays them well and is quite loyal to them and expects the same in return.

I used to know Waylon fairly well myself...he was actually very damned nice and funny but if you ever pissed him off...you were toast forever in his book. He and his wife were very kind to my dad when my dad was terminal.

I was the concert commission booker in college at Ole Miss in the late 70s for 4 semesters. We dealt with a slew of rockbands. Jimmy Buffett was the biggest jerk....drunk and coked out dropping valiums everywhere...incrdible cause he seems so personable on stage. Dan Fogleberg..another prick. Doobie Brothers...great. BB King...as kind as they come. The Dead...laid back and very very nonpretentious. Boz Skaggs...another very nice guy. Charlie Daniels...he should be everybody's friend.

Here in Nashville, we see folks all the time, but nobody bothers them and they just seem like neighbors. Steve Winwood is in fact my neighbor.

One of my business partners is a booking agent and has been for 2 decades here. he claims they simply get used to being catered to and come to expect it and of course they are artists and hence are a bit more senstive by nature.

Reba's air charter experiences were tragic weren't they....she's lucky she was not on that plane.

Funny the way things are. I am a big Winwood fan, lucky you! Boz Skaggs....the best.

I'd love to know about Harry Nilsson, Joe Cocker, Joe Walsh, and Ringo Starr. They are some of the most unique entertainers with a sense of humor in the industry.

As a general rule I found that most comedians are the pits. Pro wrestlers are cool(the old ones) Jerry Lawler is my hero. So was Ivan Putsky and Bugsy Magraw.

When I was at the University of Iowa in the mid 70's, Jimmy Buffett played at the fieldhouse. He apparently came on stage stoned (big surpirse) and was booed off of the stage. I was in a dorm room about a half a block away and the booing was very loud. If memory serves Emmylou Harris was his opening act and she finished the show.
