Funny the way things are. I am a big Winwood fan, lucky you! Boz Skaggs....the best.

I'd love to know about Harry Nilsson, Joe Cocker, Joe Walsh, and Ringo Starr. They are some of the most unique entertainers with a sense of humor in the industry.

As a general rule I found that most comedians are the pits. Pro wrestlers are cool(the old ones) Jerry Lawler is my hero. So was Ivan Putsky and Bugsy Magraw.

I never see Winwood...he lives in a modern 9000 sq ft palace at the top of the hill....I live down in the hollow. He married a local gal. They live between here and their 11th century estate in England. He performed here 2 weeks ago but their children attend school over there.

I lived in Upper Nyack NY for a year and lived down upper Broadway from Nilsson. I hear he was quite friendly and witty and enjoyed his "cups". There was a row of old Victorian homes on the Hudson there with he and Ellen Burstyn and Helen Hayes all right together sort of. My then girlfriend taught at Barnard in the city and we had a carriage house on an old Robber Baron estate up the road by the cliffs. Harry died a few years back I think.

I'd love to know about ... Joe Walsh

I was in south Florida last week attending to some family business when I heard an interview on the radio with Joe Walsh. It was hysterical! After the first few sentances, it was apparent that his thought processes were a bit drug-addled from his youth in the fast lane, but he was still very funny. I told my husband that a conversation between Joe and Ozzy would REALLY be something -- I can't imagine what that would be like. Then, at the end of the interview, he mentioned that he had just talked to Ozzy a few days ago. He said that their bands played together on tour for a couple of years during the 70's, but neither of them could remember any of it. However, "they knew it had happened, because they had the posters."

Harry Nilsson passed away some years ago. 1999? His son lives in NH, or used to a couple of years ago. He (the son) was big into hopping-up little Civics. Both of them were as far to the left as you could go, and poor Harry was a hell of an alcoholic. I think his son doesn't drink.
