UFO in Baku Again

Hundreds of Baku residents became the witnesses of the unusual phenomenon - the unidentified flying object buzzed above the city on Monday in the evening.

UFO was observed in various parts of capital approximately from 5 pm to 7pm (Baku time). In the cloudless sky the large light stain similar to an extended “drop of milk” has appeared. The object was not similar to a cloud, aboard the plane or the helicopter, as moved on a complex trajectory, Ekho newspaper report says. At 18:35 "drop" suddenly started quickly to leave, was not dissolved yet in the sky. The abnormal object has caused interest not only the people of Baku, but also Azerbaijani experts.

Professor Elchin Khalilov, chief of a commission on the abnormal phenomena at presidium of Academy of Sciences, shot the UFO on amateur. Mr. Khalilov has noted that they had already started to study the video.

"With similar UFO we face for the first time," he told to reporters. "It is already unequivocally clear, that the fixed object is not the plane, helicopter or other flying means. The UFO represents enough, slightly extended form. Thus is abundantly clear, that it is object of a technical origin."

UFO hung at height of 5 kilometers, and then has departed to the Caspian Sea side. “I can not tell exactly how far the UFO was,” he said. “All depends on the size of UFO. On our sight it exceeded 10 m. UFO was rather low above ground and it was large enough, with symmetric elements on each side.”

“I admit that this object can be any spy, but only theoretically. We have experts in air navigation, space researches, astrophysics, which will involve for the analysis of this shooting," promised Elchin Khalilov. Fuad Gasimov, chairman of Cosmic Seismological Department of Azerbaijan National Aero cosmic Agency says, appearance of UFOs in the sky is an alarm signal for people who “destroys ecosystem of planet”.

As Baku Today reported early this year, an UFO appeared on Baku on January 2. Some scientists claim that UFOs were also observed before and warned about natural disaster. Mr. Gasimov stated that UFOs hinder the prediction of earthquakes and researches carried out in this field.

"They don't want mankind reveal their secret. But there are some facts stating that UFOs keep in touch with the scientists. Though most approach these unserious, objects keep in touch with selected persons by the means of Morse alphabet or telepathy signals and transmit information related to the future," he told to journalists in January of this year. It seems UFO will become “normal guest” for Baku inhabitants soon.

Their scientists will at least admit publicly that UFOs are real, unlike the stories coming from our government. I choose to believe that they are real and are watching Earth, for what purpose I'm not sure. Fascinating...

While in the Navy in '75, while going to avionics school near Memphis, a shipmate was taking me to Memphis to see my future wife. On a dark, deserted road a reddish-orange light about the size of a baseball zipped past.

Sitting beside me was a linebacker-sized shipmate who flew into my lap in the backseat. To say he was scared witless is an understatement.

My shipmates in front asked what in the *&## was wrong with him, and I squeaked, "That #@%^ light!!!!!!!!!!"

What light??! they asked, baffled. The man in my lap related what light for about an hour, gratefully scrambling out my lap, and loosening that bear-hug so I can write this today.

Years later I told this to my now-deceased neighbor who was in WWII, and worked on the B-29 that bombed Nagasaki, to which he repied, "You know, I've never told anyone myself, but in '44 I was station in Dennison, Texas, and one night the same thing happened to me." He saw an orange light fly by his car on a dark, lonely road himself--while his passenger slept. LOL!

In 1974 I was a monitor at an alarm company during a graveyard shift when a friend from a nearby police force called me at 2:30 in the morning, asking me to tune in a frequency on the police scanner.

I couldn't make exactly what they were saying, but one man was demaning someone check out the strange lights, while the other man was shouting, "YOU CHECK THEM!!! I AIN'T GOING NEAR THAT THING!!"

Then he shouted, "IT'S RISING!! IT'S GONE!!!" My friend called back and said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol just said it had just flown over Yukon and disappeared. Whatever that was landed at Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City at a distant part of the airport. It just landed, and it just rose, and speeded seconds later 40 miles away as reported by the Highway Patrol. "Kinda strange?" my friend offered.

Offhand I recall cattle mutilations around that time in southern Colorado, though don't know if they are related...

I am an unbeliever. UFO's, as entities from another planet, are beyond my abilities or that of favored beverages to make believable.

1) I see nothing in the world that does not obey the basic laws of the universe. UFO's do so all the time.

2) I have several problems with the theory of evolution, not the least of which is mutation probability, complexity and order in energy and major league biochemical explanations that must precede any of the 'fossil record' crapola.

3) Because of #2, I have greater problems with the idea of other places where star-hopping visitors have risen from the primordial slime. Seems to me to be a 'lightning strike twice' conundrum, even though probability theoretically says the chances are the same.

4) For all of the Indy 500 stuff that UFO sightings seem to come in, I am perplexed why we don't see a steady stream of convoys of the suckers from the far realms of the solar system.

5) Reports from these deals are wrapped up in occult junk all the time. People who buy into the boogerman always buy into UFO's. It just goes together like bacon on a cheeseburger.

6) I reports from the 'witnesses' are credible and the UFO's do exist, then we better get our sh*t together because these are very kinky freaks that are coming to our shores for their pan-galactic vacations. Welcoming them would be the last thing I would want to do - nuke them is more in order.

7) I despise their ideology. In between buggering men and women with probes, they spout the same inane 'one-world-one-universe-kumbaya' crap that Lefties do here on earth. I am waiting for a comprehensive, longitudinal study that correlates eye-witness contacts with political orientation. I don't think I'd be suprised by the results.

8) I never outgrew the excitment of going to the drug store to get the new editions of my favorite comics. I loved my superheroes battling freaks from the far reaches of the universe. I did, however, come to realize that that monthly pleasure had nothing substantive to do with the actual world that I lived in.

My own step-dad is a good case in point. And at 80 years old, unless I can go out and drag in several super tankers worth of evidence THAT TOUCHES HIS EXPERIENCE,

Yeah, but their scientists are often the worst kind of scientists. Their acadamy's are/were political flunky heaven. Their funding and uptake of graduate students had far more to do with politics than abilty. Finally, their scientific literature SUCKS! They are suffused with all kinds of 19th century European weirdnesses. Ever do a review on Soviet medical information? Get set for a rollicking ride into the fringe elements of the 1930's. Infrared light treatments for sickly youths in mining camps. B-12 and acidophilus treatments for cancer. You might as well consult the 'Mother Earth News' for scientific information.
