let lipton know,
http://www.lipton.com This is just more of the same. She is not sorry, she is only sorry she did not choose better words to insult the president. More crocodile tears. As I said in previous posts, they are using "the other two" as human shields.

MAINES: I think it came down to, it was ... that it was in a foreign country and it was that it was an off-the-cuff statement
And I think the way I said it was disrespectful. The wording I used, the way I said it, that was disrespectful
Disrespectfull? Oh really, before you said it was a joke. Then before that you said it was your personal opinion. Boo-frekkin-hoo.

When I realized my CD was falling off the charts and I was going to loose millions, well you understand. Don't you?

Ditzy fer shore! And the acclaimed "journalist", the insufferable Diane Sawyer, allows herself to be used in a pure PR campaign concocted by high level execs concerned about the bottom line of their valuable franchise!

manager:
"it's going to blow over in three days." Maines:
And I looked at him and I go, "No, it's not." Uh, yeah, right.
The manager thinks it'll blow over, but the light bulb goes on over Maines' head?
File this one under "Fiction".

Dear Vichy Chickens:
You messed with Texas, now you're going to pay the price. Crocodile tears on the Anti-American Broadcasting Company won't undo the damage. Move to France and sleep with your fellow traitors there, we don't have any use for your kind of trash in Texas.

Maybe ex-President Clinton will play golf with the Dixie Chicks.

You left out some of the best parts like this:
"MAGUIRE:
I just remember listening to country music as a young girl and knowing that I wanted to play the fiddle and that's all I ever wanted to do, knowing that I'd get into country music and trying to convert people over to country music and hearing them always say oh, but it's ... no, that's redneck music, no, those people are so backwards and conservative and closed minded and this and that. And I'm always saying to these people, no, just give it a chance, give it a chance"
Yep...dig that hole further...insult all country music fans as dumb conservatives.

"NATALIE MAINES:
we support the troops"
Sorry, you cannot "Support the troops" without supporting the Commander-In-Chief. You are either lying, or very uneducated about the U.S. form of government.

We see here again the standard reaction of the anti-war(anti-American)celebs.
They do have the right to say what ever they choose. They just need to understand that if they feel that strongly about the issue, they should have the fortitude to accept the consequenses.
These things don't come free.
To: Pro-Bush
The arrogance of these bints...yes, Natalie, President Bush will CERTAINLY check to see that ALL of your questions are answered before he makes anymore foreign or domestic decisions. Sheesh!

it's going to blow over in three days." And I looked at him and I go, "No, it's not." He goes "Yes, it is, yes. Don't worry about it." You know, giving the old manager spiel. And I said, "Oh, I don't think so." I have this feeling that this part of the conversation between their manager and Natalie Maines happened, in fact, in reverse. I think Natalie was the one saying (or "going" as that eloquent international policy expert Natalie puts it), "This will all blow over over soon....".
