NO, I'm still boycotting and have much more quality time with my boys since the "TV" is off. (They are loving all my attention as well). Life is great!! Hollywood, GO FLY A KITE!

Are you talking about the Redford-Gandolfini military prison flick? I don't think it's a HBO film, if that's the one you're talking about. It was released on the big screen in late 2001...great flick, though. I'm not normally a Redford fan, but he did a good job in it.

I watched it and bought a copy of the DVD for myself and my parents. I thought it was a very good movie. I didn't see a lot of publicity for it when it was released.

It seemed utterly preposterous to me.

I believe this is your department.[announcer's voice]"Playing the part of Illbay today will be Alex Murphy"
[shuffles hastily memorized script, delivers lines in monotone]
"I hated it. I thought it was totally unrealistic to have Redford play a general. It didn't deserve to be aired. You're too stupid for me to respond to you. You're an *** if you thought it was any good. I didn't think Colonel Winter was so bad, I don't know why everyone thinks he's the bad guy here."
[wild applause]

It was released right around the same time as September 11. The Promo banners for the movie were pictures of the US Flag being flown upside down. This was just prior to 9/11. After 9/11, the studio pulled its advertising because people complained about the upsidedown flag.

As long as we're talking movies...
"Where do you Summa?"
"Huh?"
"Where do you Summa?"
"You can have the cheeeek-en."
(One of my favorite movies!)

I'm sorry but I've been boycotting HBO for quite a while now. I got tired of helping to fund their left-wing propaganda masquerading as reality-based TV movies.

If you want a much better movie, then try this one....
It's an Australian flick about a simple homeowner fighting to keep the government from tearing down his house to make room for a new airport runway.

*Sigh*
Well, the Fox News Channel and other news networks constantly bring us cast members from movies and television programming put out by their parent network's entertainment divisions. It's the most irritating aspect of watching their morning news programs.
So I guess this makes this silly "vanity"--which isn't even a review, just "hey, anybody see this?"--"news" by that same standard.
FR's going to the dogs.

The Castle is hysterical. We didn't understand it very well the first time we watched it and thought it was rather stupid. After living "down under" for a few years, we gained an appreciation for it. Now we own a copy and are frequently heard to say, "dreamin'."

It's been a couple of years since I've seen it, but I finally stopped laughing at about 5:17 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2002.
