I don't believe the tape being shown on TV of Saddam is current. Mention of "the brave farmer who brought down the helicopter" refers to an incident in dispute. The US doubts it occurred. This is an "old" tape.

Saddam is goo on the wall of that bunker. He's been scraped off. The cleaning lady has scrubbed him down. He's been Lysoled. They've sprayed the place with air freshener. He's gunk linking the garbage can.

Citing security concerns, the annual Easter Egg roll at the White House will be closed to the public this year and replaced with a smaller event for the children of troops involved in the U.S. -led war on Iraq.

About 12,000 parents and children of active duty and reserve troops will be invited to the event April 21, fewer than half the normal crowd of 40,000, White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said Friday.

"It's reduced as a result of the security situation," he said. "A smaller group is more appropriate."

During World War II, the Easter egg roll was moved away from the White House to the National Zoo.

"It was decided to do it to honor those who are serving, families who are sacrificing, the children who haven't seen their fathers - to bring some joy to their lives," Fleischer said.

Tickets to this year's event will be distributed exclusively to military families through the Defense Department.

Last year, President Bush and first lady Laura Bush welcomed thousands of children and their parents to the Eastern Egg roll on the South Lawn. It was the first time the general public had been invited inside the gates since just after the terrorist attacks in September 2001.
