Women in Combat...The PRICE of equality. (Vanity)

A funny thing happened last night. Well maybe not funny or at least it shouldn't be. As I watched the 24-hour wall to wall coverage of our war to defend freedom and ensure OUR way of life I heard something truly remarkable. The funny thing was that it was said in passing, just another aside in the battle for freedom on this planet.

The story at this hour was focused on our troops who had been captured. The info babe in question had on a former POW from Gulf War I. The story also went to the female Army Flight Surgeon who was captured. She told of how as well as being beaten and mentally tortured just like the males, she had been sexually assaulted. At the very end of the piece I heard these words, "The National Organization for Women says that the possibility of sexual assault was just an added danger that women had to PAY for equality in the military"!!!!!!!!

I believe my heart skipped a beat.

Lets hear that one more time... "The National Organization for Women says that the possibility of sexual assault was just an added danger that women had to PAY for equality in the military."

So the position of the National Organization for "WOMEN" is that it is ok for a woman to be raped just so long as she has reached some mythical status in the military of "EQUAL"? I guess I now see why they had no problem with Slick Willie, I mean at least he was raping and fondling women who he had helped become "equal". There is no such thing as equal; it's a myth. The same myth that the leftists are now spreading to our children through their indoctrination centers, nobody is a loser and nobody is a winner, another myth.

But I digress, back to the raping of women. Let’s get this straight, it's ok for a woman to be raped as long as she is achieving equality in the military? So what about these women who have allegedly been raped in the service academies? These women are achieving equality; they are putting themselves in the company of evil hated men, is that ok? It would make sense right? The feminist it appears cannot figure out what they want, not surprising. They are suing the government and the military on behalf of some of these alleged rape victims.

When is it not ok to rape? I mean if a woman goes out on a Saturday night alone dressed like a tramp to a bar and gets drunk right along side the "boys", she's achieving equality right? So I guess it would be ok for a little last call rape O Rama? Of course it would not be! In my mind rape is the worst crime that can be committed. In my opinion rapist should be hung by their genitalia in the town square until they expire.

Apparently not for the NAGs. Apparently for them the worst crime in the world is that a woman not have her mythical, vaporous "EQUALITY"!

If women are in combat, hell, if they're in the military, they are going to be raped during war. If being in combat equals "equality" then, yes, that is a price they will have to pay.

And it's not just women. It's a poorly researched field but homosexual rape has occurred throughout history. Lawrence and the nine Turks comes to mind.

if they're in the military, they are going to be raped during war....

In 1994 Bill Clinton signed an exec order which opened this possibility up. It allowed for women to be posted Combat Support Units. Women were always able to be a mechanic or helicopter crew chief, etc, etc. So as far as a "job" in the Army they were equal. But this exec order put them in harms way. Now they are assigned to the units that service the tanks...at the front!!!

It is alot more likely they'll be captured if they are fixing a thrown road wheel on a Bradley...than if they are changing an engine in the rear.

I recently had a discussion about P.O.W. rape with a friend who was active in Gulf War I theater - he said men P.O.W.s are commonly raped, too, by Arab captors, especially younger men. He then keyed into GOOGLE the words 'Arab homosexuality' and some intriguing material was retrieved, which certainly supports his statement and yours too.

I wonder why, in our society, the female victim of this despicable crime gets so much attention, while the male victim is silenced.

My husband and I were talking about this. Here's my theory;
Women live with the knowledge that rape can happen to them at any time. We know it, we think about how we would handle it, how we would deal with the aftermath, how to protect ourselves, etc... Men, as a general rule don't. It isn't something that men have to be concerned/aware of on a daily basis as concerns personal safety.

Women in the services KNOW that, if captured, rape will happen. We deal with it. We survive it. We don't let it stop us from doing what WE want with our lives. We don't think that all men are responsible or evil. It's not noble, or sacrificing. It's just a fact if you are a woman.

Add "Pashtoon" or "Pashtun" to your search to really sink your stomache.
