COWARDLY French sailors are enjoying a holiday on the Thames while our brave boys and girls risk their lives to topple Saddam. Crew of the coastal patrol vessel FS Flamant are unashamedly flying a Tricolour while moored in central London.
So The Sun steamed into action yesterday by blitzing them with white feathers the cowards symbol.
We hired a 38ft yacht for our daring assault on the 150ft ship, which is moored next to Tower Bridge. First, we hoisted up the Red Ensign flag as we left St Katharines dock. Then we circled the ship and shouted to the crew: We have le feather blanc for you grands poulets. We sounded our horn and then moved into position.
As the rattled French seamen looked on in amazement, we bombarded them with the feathers which showered their deck. Sailors ran for a hose and sounded the ships booming horn to warn us off.
A senior officer wagged his finger and shouted No, no. Then the wet blankets rang the police and asked them to deal with us.
One amused officer told us: Weve had a complaint about you from the French warship. Take this as a friendly warning. Theyre very edgy about all this. Sun
One poster said something like this................"Come and protest the war agaist oppression and RACISM" HUH??? RACISM well well well. I wonder if these same folks would have said the same thing when Hitler made the Jews suffer?
Perfect, now come clean this monitor.
A man from Poland responding to a "peace" advocate who compared 'the actions of the Bush Administration to the policies put in place by Nazi Germany.'
Greetings from Poland! You I think have American confused with Nazi. Nazi invade Poland, kill millions of people, divide it up with ZSRR. Americans invade Europe, liberate many people including France, oppose ZSRR, help many people become free in 1989. But yes I agree that in all other respects they are exactly same!!! HAHAAHA!! It is reported that Polish commandos assisted USA Navy in capturing Irak oil stations. I hope it is true!!!
Sorry no link. Got that from Real Clear Politics and the link from there goes elsewhere now.
I asked Mr. B about fishing spots for your trip. He asked me where you wanted to fish, the river or ocean?
Excellent work Sun. Too funny.
You might want to forward the story in mountaineer post #61 as well!
Mountaineer that is such a great story! I think we should apply this approach to the many protestors in this country.
But with a tweak... first we hose them down with Crisco oil and then we dump the white feathers!
I hope we get a chance to meet up so you can give me some of the extra fish you'll have. You don't want to have to drag all that fish home! :-)
I've made some inquiries. Apparently, no state money is being used to bring 'the shameless one' into the state. Some student fees may, or may not be used for some incidentals.
Fortunately, I am on the road, and will be upwind of any unhealthy fumes.
She's someone who ought to either get implants or stop showcasing those miniature fried eggs. There's city zoning ordinances banning unsightly stuff like that......
I hope so, too. I'll try to follow what happens and let you know.
This is K-Dog, the coalition forces' most surprising weapon against Iraq.Good "dog"!With a camera strapped to his fin, the bottle-nose dolphin is one of about 100 dolphins and sea lions helping to clear shipping lanes in the Gulf to ensure a safe passage for vessels, including those which will provide humanitarian relief.
K-Dog and his handler Sgt Andrew Garrett are part of a multinational team, CTU-55.4.3, consisting of Naval Special Clearance Team One, Britain's Fleet Diving Unit Three, Australia's Clearance Dive Team, and two Explosive Ordnance Disposal units.
A Pentagon spokesman said: "The team works in both deep and shallow waters, looking for mines and marking them. Dolphins have been used like this by the US Navy for more than 30 years, and have proved themselves more reliable than robots."
He said that unlike robots, the dolphins did not run out of power, nor did they go missing or have problems communicating from the sea bed.
