Looks like the Secretary of Defense has his own candy bar.
Rummy: For your beautiful time.

I was so happy to hear that Micheal Moore was booed at the Oscars last night. And the orchestra played over his last sentence or two. I also did see the very end while I was waiting for the news to start, and appreciated Steve Martin's comments about supporting the troops. His comments brought a lot of cheers.
I just took the weekend off, too much sensory overload and emotional overload. Got my brain back in gear, and I'm ready to go for another week.

Really? The ratings were that bad? I helped too, I'm so proud of myself.

I just heard on Fox that two of our soldiers drowned in the Euphrates irrigation canal while they were trying to purify water.
The Seabees are trying to recover the bodies.

I do appreciate your decision for the Guild not to have an Oscar thread last night. I was off the computer most of the weekend, too much worry about the troops, and what was happening. I think having the war on TV with the embedded reporters is a good thing, actually a double edged sword. I find myself obsessively watching for friends and loved ones who are over there, OTOH, there's too much information about what is happening, and then I start to worry too much. I'm glad I have my faith, I can pray, and just put it in the Lord's hands. I'm off for a bit now. Will check back in later this evening.

I didn't watch it either and yelled at my husband for flicking on it (surely just to oogle all the boobs hanging off of all the boobie's, LOL).
Praying for our fine young American men and women fighting for their lives over in that HELL hole.

Hey, everybody!
Lodwick, did I miss something? Either you posted pictures from last year's Oscars or those stars are broke and wore the same gowns two years in a row! LOL!
(Or are we even boycotting their pictures?!)

Who knows - I got the stuff from what I thought to be a current Reuters.
I almost posted from '01.
Apologies for any outdated puppage there, but does it really make any difference?

Right clicking, and properties, this looks like current enough stuff - I mean it was last night.

Mrs.L confirms that you are correct and that I don't watch the Oscars except through the eyes of the Guild.
Cheers all.
Laters guys.
