As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American.

Here's Natalie's second attempt at an apology. As you can see she just can't seem to just apologize without editorializing just a bit.

This isn't a rush, it's been a 15 Month Debacle because of Our President pandering to those Anti-American People.

So do I. But I've realized we're past the point of exhausting every opportunity. I also think that this DitzyChick wouldn't come to the same conclusion even at the sight of mushroom clouds over Israel, or somewhere else.

To paraphrase what was said on another thread: "People who sing country are held to a higher standard."

That part came from the business side of the Chicks because if she believed it, should wouldn't have made the original comment against Bush. I'm tired of celebrities making anti-American comments and then wrapping themselves in the flag as protection.

Dear Chick:
America is not proud of you.
Go entertain Saddam Hussein and his troops, if you can get the gig. Don't bother coming back to America.
A Concerned American Citizen
P.S. Don't forget to take your burqa. And don't make Saddam mad (he has acid pits for those who do).

Too little. Too late. And, not even written by her.

You're right if she believed this then she wouldn't have said what she did in the first place. A despairing manager wrote this and forced her to read it. Which is why we must keep the heat on. THIS IS WORKING FOLKS KEEP IT UP! YOU CAN SMELL THE FEAR! DON'T LET UP NOW!
To: rockinonritalin
To let the Dixie Chicks know how *&(()*^^% mad you are you can go here and send them an e-mail ( www.kscs.com ) It is the web site of a Dallas based country music station.

Natalie. Like I, AS A MOTHER, tell my boys: you can't wipe away everything you've said and done by simply saying "I'm Sorry".
You still said what you said, and did what you did. Sorry you may be, but it is up to the offended party to provide forgiveness.
I feel forgiveness will be a long time gone, for you and your chicks.

Whoever is writing this drivel keeps stressing that they are in Europe: The fact that she is in Europe making these remarks is one of the reasons people are so pi**ed off! THEY JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!
To: rockinonritalin
Dear SLICKY CHICKS: Thank you for providing us with that incredibly sincere apology, as dictated by your manager. I too am very SORRY; because, although I did not care much for your continued attempts to scandalize country music with ridiculous teeni-bopper tunes, I now know how shallow you truly are. So, SLICKY CHICKS, thank you for confirming my gut-instincts: that you "ladies" are no different than the rest of the pot-smoking, maggot-infested retards that currently infest our culture.
May I suggest a new song for you? "GIRLS GOIN' BYE" (sung to "Earl's Gotta Die")... work-in-progress...

Horse hockey. Is she going to say it on stage? On another thread, someone put her statement like this:
A$ a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bu$h because my remark was di$re$pectful. I feel that whoever hold$ that office should be treated with the utmo$t re$pect. We are currently in Europe and witne$$ing a huge anti-American $entiment a$ a re$ult of the perceived ru$h to war. I think that says it all, don't you?
