Funny you should say Navajo white though... I went to Northern Arizona U. and befriended a lot of the Navajo indians up there and became an adopted daughter of the Navajo Nation. I used to be able to speak the language. Here on LI, there is the Shinnecock Nation reservation way out east.
After working with the mighty rich as a personal shopper, I prefer the salt of 'merica from the trailer park.

We never knew what tribe my ancestor was from. I have a picture of her -- she's very severe looking and angular -- and the funny part to me is that she's dressed in what looks like black taffeta and a bonnet! I will look up that tribe you mentioned.
A daughter of one of my mother's friends was a sort of personal shopper in N.Y.C. Must be an interesting profession, but I guess you could meet some real cranks.
Do you like Arizona? Never been. I've seen some lovely photographs from there. Dh and I travel some, our favorite place is the BVI's, and our mutual hobby is photography.
