Good afternoon....nothing interesting happening here today, other than the sun is shining one minute, and ten minutes later, its almost as dark as nightime, and it beginx to pour....then the rain stops and the shine comes out again....dark and light, off and on...crazy, crazy....

Westy, loved the sunset from Sequim...love going up to the Peninsula, and visiting Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, the Rain Forest, and the Olympic Natl Park...such a grand and glorious area, with the ocean, the mountains, and the trees....

Have you ever been to the Olympia Game Forest, there up in or near Sequim...we love going there....you drive your car through, and see the animals..and we bring tons of bread to throw at the animals...

It gets a little scarey tho, the end, when you drive through the Buffalo herd...they just come right up to the car, and we were handing them bread slices out the window...and when they want moe, they stick their big, ugly, nasty, wet, purple tongues right in your face...BigDom got swiped by one great big male Buffalo...poor Bigdom had buffalo slobber all over his hair and face...most unattractive....

And they constantly lick at your windows, begging for food...we make sure we carry windex in the car, to clean the windows of buffalo slobber after we have passed through the herd...

The scarey part comes in, when after you have exhausted all you bread supplies, and its time to move on, sometimes the buffalo dont want to get out of the road to let you by...they just stand there, licking your car, and trying to get their big heads and big tongues in through the windows...and once they clear the road, and you are able to go on your way, sometimes they chase you for a while, still thinking you have more food...its really scarey being chased by some of those big males...but the whole game park experience is fun...

(The last Buffalo I saw were at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.
They'd wandered into the impact zone during a fire mission with the howitzers. Oops.)

Not a good memory.

On to more pleasant things.
My rose lived through the winter, miraculously.
You got a free window cleaning by way of animal tongue and slobber...
Sounds like a Kodak moment.

The Redwing blackbirds are back.

Nope, I've been around the Peninsula a number of times, but usually ended up out at Lake Ozette and hiked out to Cape Alava or Sand Point....Not into the Game Parks very much...Northwest Trek is not to far down the road from here, but have never been there either....Oh well.....

........Westy.......
