We no get um no see ums.

Mosquitos can't handle the onshore winds and sand of Lake Michigan in our area.

No sharks either.

And the water gets really nice to swim in by July. The inland lakes are comfy just after Memorial day. Paradise for boating, fishing, and beach lovers.

Plus the foliage and temps are great.

Oops... Valerie didn't yet pay to renew her fotki acct for this year, so it is blocked. Thats where your pics are. I have to make some moolah.... but the landscapes and butterflies just ain't selling. I'm gonna expand my portfolio and start doing glamour/boudoir photography. Git yer nighties on! Uh huh. As I sit here in March sunburned and warm, I think of the great foliage and temperatures in the frozen north. Then I pour myself another sweet iced tea and smile.
