BB King was just asked about political comments during the war and he said "I think that there are going to be alot of things said tonight that I don't agree with."
Way to go B.B!

Ravi Shankar is still alive (although he recently retired from touring). My parents met him in Spain when they were staying at the same hotel he was. He walked through the lobby and greeted everyone who was there.
He came to international fame when the Beatles (George Harrison in particular) raised up his name and used sitars on their albums.

BTW the current song is awesome but her live performance (whoever she is) is a little off key! That was Vanessa Carlton and how dare you talk about my future wife like that! ;)

In spite of all of his drugs, etc., I love Willie.

well I don't think CBS carries enough the clout to 'silence' creative expression but someone has said something ...it is way too quiet.

I love "No Such Thing". Not sure why, but it definitely got me hooked into his sound. I dont like the jazzed up version of it, though. Much prefer the more unplugged version.

*loudly snickering cause Mo1 just read her mind about Mayer*

Okay, JT and Yo Yo Mah... Doesnt get better than that. If JT can keep his politics to himself it will be an outstanding performance.
To: lawdude
JT and Yo Yo Ma - that's pretty cool.

LOL! I'm just the opposite. I like it jazzed up. I don't like music that makes me want to find the nearest oven to stick my head into. LOL! It's got to be Happy! Happy! Happy! Even if the topic is depressing..it's gotta be happy. LOL!

No, I didn't know that RaviS was her father. I saw him once in concert in Houston-- before Seals and Croft came out, I think. He sat Indian-style on the stage and played. His sound was nice, but in limited quantities. I really do like Norah's sound.
To: Samurai_Jack
I agree, can't stand his views, but can't beat JT's music

This girl with the dark hair playing the piano and singing stinks! You may want to recant that statement once all the rappers get on stage.
Which makes me wonder that they haven't had one on yet. I bet they are putting them on later tonight once all the kiddies are all tucked in bed and don't get exposed to da rappa's.
To: mccann
Welcome aboard, mccann! I wonder if Taylor will make an anti-Bush comment. Wouldn't be surprised.

I'm still buying new records (I bought a 45 and an LP this weekend).
In 15minutes, I'm tuing out the Grammys to listen to Little Steven's Underground Garage, the only radio show I hear new rock and roll on that is the type I actually buy. It's a syndicated show (on the air in 60 cities).
