Oh poor Shadow. Adjusting to his new home is just going to take time.My Rhodesian Ridgeback still gets into the garbage. He can have a full food dish and he still digs through the sack. One time he did it while my son was standing right behind him. He was so self-absorbed, didn't even notice.

Poor Shadow.

I don't know what to tell you other than he seems young and needs training...one on one training...command type training.

I really would look into getting him a pillow...and when you catch him on the sofa, instead of putting him outside, reprimand him, then lead him to the pillow, so he knows to lay there instead of the couch....
