Incorrigable as usual I see.

There's that word again! I was simply demonstrating my mastery of the obvious...

#5...ohhhh that is good news indeed!

You have brightened my day extremely......God IS faithful.

I wasn't feeling like posting today....just a bit overwhelmed by life at the moment....

..but your post just lifted my spirit.

Hubby & I spent the first part of our prayertime this AM singing the wonderful praise chorus...I Exalt Thee

...It delights me that hubby more & more realizes that God is to be exalted, even or especially, in the down times.

God is always faithful.....always keeps HIS promises......never gives us more than we can bear.

God bless you ....

I must embrace the day now.....lots to do!

A GOOD A.M. TO ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!

HOW good do YOU stack your fire wood tells a lot about a man. When I was but just a wee little tot my grandmother told me 'Toby, the way you stack your fire wood tells all what kind of a man you are'. Don't see much firewood stacking now but when I was a young boy, a lot of folks kept warm, cooked their food by fire wood. Some even had the true ice boxes that kept the food thus the saying 'he looks like the ice man if you ask me' when a boy was born that did not look like the daddy of the family.

Firewood. A lazy man will just dump his wood in a pile, no organization what so ever. A weak man would put it in a single pile, not lined up and would tumble down every once in a while. A so-so man would put it in rows two abreast but with not top on it. A good strong 'know where I am going' kind of man would stack his cord of word with the sawed ends or the neatest choped ends to the outside, looked as if measured with a runler, secured at each end, best cuts of wood that would be seen on the outside and, with a top to keep the rain off of it. The grass around the pile would be cut back and it would always be in a place where passerbys would see it. Now I ask you, how do YOU stack YOUR wood?

Strange how times were back in the old days, wood piles and today, how big the house is, how much the car cost, the clothes a person wears. I still like the wood pile measure myself.

Prayers for our troops and their families, for OUR President W, taking the bombardment of hate from the leftest world yet, he stand strong, on OU behalf, and for his wife and staff. Prayer for all of you who are in need of those special prayers and as always, fot us older folks who often times measure things a little diffent than you young folks, may God keep you safe. Have a good day, a real good day.

#33...oh my goodness, I just read your #33, and I'm sitting here bawling my eyes out!

You know what omg, those heartstrings never got severed when our children grew up.....they're still entwined round & round ....and when our children hurt, we hurt.

Just last night, we received a call from our dear son.

Almost the first words were..."I've given it to God".....

We have watched him grow & mature through the adversity & disappointment of losing his job....we have cried with him through bitter moments of despair and rejoiced with him as we saw evidence of maturity, both mental & spiritual.

We knew God was refining him....
...and now, when all the connections he was pulling together ....all the many companies he has applied to....all the facets of this life experience were starting to make sense, and he truly believes a job is very very close....

...his roommate ups & marries a longtime girlfriend....like elopes....and now wants the apartment all to themselves (which is understandable)...

The apartment address is what he has noted on all his correspondence to prospective employees, although, of course, he does have an email adress and a phone.

But it felt so very overwhelming to him.....like a last straw....and he's very very short on money.

...but we didn't hear despair last night....and I think he HAS given it to God.

We don't know what God's will is here......maybe it's time for him to come home to live with us for a while.

But he wants to be independent, and we were encouraging this.

You know, in the light of day, and writing it out, it doesn't seem quite like the end of the world, as it did last night.

I contrast this with your son.....who I praise God is home & better, and ong, there was despair the other day when you wrote......not despair from you....but we all surely felt heartsick for you.

But LOOK!....you have restored our hope....and you never lost faith even in the midst of it.

I MUST send your refining story to my son & my husband!!

God Bless....

I haven't had to cut wood for a while, but I've brought a few loads over here from my dad's place. The first time it was raining and I tossed it into the back of my pickup as fast as I could - and still got drenched. But I did stack it up in two rows on the back porch when I got it here.

I usually try to sort when I stack, putting the biggest pieces together and smallest pieces together and everything else in between. It makes it easier for grabbing wood that way.

We've had so much rain lately that our place looks a bit unkempt. I'd love to do something about all the mud cuz it's getting out of hand.

I had a dream last night that I can't get out of my head. I'm wondering if God is trying to tell me something.

At least don't let them send the terrorists to Germany for trial. What a freakin joke! 15 years. Ugh.
