All the jokes aside. Did the airport screeners at his point of origin check the contents of the cooler? If they did, are they employees of the TSA? Shouldn't employees of the TSA know the regulations for having animals on board aircraft?

Off-topic but what is the fascination with some people of having rodents for pets? I know a couple of people who had them and they are some of the nastiest pets you could imagine. You had to keep them locked up in a cage all day or else they'd gnaw the furniture and get into other mischief. I wouldn't have one in the house if you paid me. BTW, I don't like cats that much either but I have one for the sole purpose of keeping rodents OUT of the house.
And please don't reply by saying a ferret isn't a rodent. It's close enough to a rodent for me.
