We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Today, Secretary Powell will brief the UN Security Council regarding American intelligence that will show Iraq is not complying with UN requirements, intelligence the Iraqis say is fabricated.
In hearings on Capitol Hill, lawmakers were told by Administration officials that North Korea might sell fissile material, possibly complete Bombs, to other entities to raise cash.
Hans Blix told Iraqi officials that, while a date certain for military action has not been set, it is "five minutes till midnight," and the Iraqis had better start turning up information on arms production.
Last November, Saudi Arabia quietly provided a passport and transport to remove a woman from the United States who was supposed to have testified to a grand jury about her husbands terrorist connections.
NASA was warned nine years ago the shuttle could catostrophically fail if debris hit the vital underside area of the craft - the very scenario that is the leading idea being investigated now. NASA made some changes to the fuel tank design, but has noted the foam always "has been a pain."
And in Los Angeles, a city council meeting, which was the last for three council members who were recalled, got out of control. An amateur video has footage of the mayor clocking one of the council members with her handbag, followed by a punch.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
BTW: If anybody sees when a replay will be shown, please ping me, I missed most of the presentation. :-(
CNN is airing "specialists" who say the Administration was wrong for airing the intelligence.
The public reason given is we won't be able to use these sources and methods again.
True, but I've got to believe the Administration weighed that carefully with the need to document to the world what Iraq is all about.
And I am certain the leftist media know this, so the only other explanation is:
1. They still want to oppose the Administration, no matter what, and
2. They are upset the rationalle for war has been laid out clearer than lead crystal.
He said the inspections are working...inspections ad infinitum....
Oh now Kristol says the French have retreated somewhat....typical retreat....
Berlin reassessing???
still obfuscation from French, but added a few nuances to previous position...
French Diplomat: "Hello? Saddam? Yes, good evening. You never told us you were actually going to make proscribed materials with those illicit materials we arranged for you."
If I were the French Government right now, I would be pondering the following:
1. The United States has a pretty good handle on proscribed activities going on in the nation of Iraq.
2. This would mean the United States may have, already, a pretty good handle on activities the French Government may have conducted that aided this situation.
3. This means the Paris Government would have to make a choice between continuing to stonewall Washington and ending up on the wrong side of history, or at least getting out of the way (abstain vote to any resolution of force) so as to position the nation for a future raproachment with Washington over the matter.
"Hello, Jacques, I think we need to reassess our no longer operative position..."
I said this on another thread...
..How in the world can Blix, et al, go back to Iraq NOW after Saddam's secrets being exposed by Powell.
Saddam has to be furious....
We'll send the FRENCH inspectors, and MORE of them-(per the French ambassador), to Iraq :)
Let's see how fast they line up to go. :^
There has been much malignment during the last couple of years over American intelligence capabilities.
Americans should be proud of what we've been able to cull together.
Pray we got them out before he gets his hands on them..
