The Bush administration will disclose new information to the United Nations today on Iraq's mobile biological weapons facilities, as well as evidence linking Baghdad to the al Qaeda terrorist group, U.S. officials said.

The intelligence will be provided to the world body by Secretary of State Colin L. Powell as part of the administration's effort to win support for military action to disarm Iraq of its chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.

It's maddening to see and understand all the evidence and still some people ignore it. To show that story to the unnamed one would be met with, "He's probably a disgruntled employee."

These unbelievers won't change their minds until thousands perhaps millions of Americans or others are dead from a chemical attack. And then they'll say there's no proof Saddam did it and why didn't President Bush do something about it before it happened.

That fact that al-Qaeda is and has been in cahoots with Saddam means nothing for some silly reason.

Whatever happened to, "if you harbor a terrorist, if you give aid to a terrorist, etc... you are a terrorist and we will come after you."

The fact that we now have proof that UBL and Saddam have been buddies for quite sometime now does away with the broken resolutions. We now have the authority to wipe Saddam off the face of the earth just for communicating with UBL

This story has it all: fashion, white trash, Bush-bashing...

It started out a fashion show for full-figured gals, but Roseanne Barr, that mistress of the public spectacle, quickly turned Tuesday's Lane Bryant runway event into a demo for the disenfranchised.
"Are there any fat people in the house?" brayed the comic. Cheers rose from the crowd at the Manhattan Center display of plus-size lingerie and "cabaret attire."

"Are there any gay people in the house?" she asked.

Louder cheering.

"What about the Jews?" she continued.

Still more cheers.

Roseanne, who has slimmed down a bit herself, went on to tell of her love for "the Hitler channel" (which is apparently what she calls the History Channel).

Suggesting that Bush's Washington has come to resemble the Fuhrer's Berlin, she added: "We're going back to that time now." That comment gave model Tyson Beckford cause to nudge Dubya's cousin Billy Bush, who was in the audience.

Getting back to herself, Roseanne, who's Jewish, then announced to the assembly, "I study the Kabbalah now. I love my Kabbalah instructor, and he gets the best pot."

Her rambling continued backstage, where she told us, "I'm an idol for men and women. I am trying to give a positive message: to not have sex, to stay celibate ... and fat."

Her message was lost on Kelly Osbourne.

"I wouldn't call anything to do with me plus-sized," said Ozzy's demon seed, who performed at the show. "To me, plus-sized is a size 26 or something like that, but anything [around] a size 10 I wouldn't call plus-sized."

You may have heard that friend and traveling companion of x42, Kevin Spacey, was just named artistic director of the "Old Vic" theater in London (Elton John is chairman; connect the dots). They had a big benefit soiree Wednesday and NY's next megawatt consultant was there (another light day of classes at Oxford)!

The performance of the actor, a life-long Democrat and active campaigner for President Bill Clinton, was warmly applauded by Clinton's daughter Chelsea, who is in Britain studying Oxford University, north of London. "I was thrilled to support the Old Vic and hope to do so many times in the future," she later told Reuters. link

Size 10? In her dreams.

Oscar de La renta has her fooled. If you've been around a while you know that the more expensive the garment, the smaller the size on the tag . Ah, to be young and stupid, I miss it now and then.

Thought you'd get a kick out of another account of Chelsea taking a break from the Oxford grind recently:

For Clinton seems to be Davos’s next-favorite American. He is here, of course, a superstar, the Living Embodiment of the Third Way, treated almost reverently, referred to as “the President.” Davos is his sort of environment — it’s Renaissance Weekend times about a hundred. Clinton has his daughter in tow,...

Michael Jackson is angry about the documentary, claiming it is "a gross distortion of the truth and a tawdry attempt to misrepresent" his life and his abilities as a father. Excuse me, but it's his own words and the photographs that clearly show what a nut he is:

Jackson's two older children, 5-year-old Prince Michael I and 4-year-old Paris, appear with Jackson wearing party masks in Bashir's film, which is called "Living with Michael Jackson." (The Post reports that Paris's dark hair roots can be seen under her bleached blonde hair.) source

Who dyes a 4-year-old's hair?

No one in their right mind, that's for sure.

Perhaps Michael is training his children in musical theater. Perhaps this is all just a big misunderstanding. He's recreating the masquerade number from "Phantom of the Opera". Yeah, that's the ticket. Was Andrew Lloyd Webber seen hanging around anywhere while this took place?

Some people should never be parents.

A little pre-Valentine's Day humor:

These are entries to a competition asking for a rhyme with the most romantic first line but least romantic second line:

Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss...
But I only slept with you, because I was pissed.

I thought that I could love no other...
Until, that is, I met your brother.

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you...
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead,
the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

Of loving beauty you float with grace...
If only you could hide your face.

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot...
This describes everything you are not.

I want to feel your sweet embrace...
But don't take that paper bag off of your face.

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes...
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife...
Marrying you screwed up my life.

I see your face when I am dreaming...
That's why I always wake up screaming.

My love you take my breath away...
What have you stepped in to smell this way.

What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime.

HOURS after being arrested on a trans-Atlantic flight, Courtney Love was on stage in London yesterday performing Bitch is Back at a gala show organised by Elton John.

The rebellious lead singer of Hole was dressed as Donald Duck, but not for long.

She soon stripped to her undies, reminding everyone that she was taking those garments off during her boozy performance on board her flight from Los Angeles.

With a certain irony, in her audience last night was the man who founded and owned the airline on which she was misbehaving: Virgin's Richard Branson.

Love, 38, was appearing at a benefit concert at the Old Vic theatre as part of a fund-raising exercise to bail the famous venue out of its financial troubles. She later joined the likes of Chelsea Clinton at a party at London's Old Billingsgate Fish Markets. DailyTelegraph

From this DailyTelelgraph story you'd think Chelz wasn't there to witness the debauchery. But your Reuters story prints she was there. Scum frolicking with scum. Bless their hearts.

Good second lines there - thanks.

QUOTES & TOASTS of the DAY -

"Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks."

"Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs."

"I read recipes the same way I read science fiction." I get to the end and I think, "Well, that's not going to happen."

Is this the same "Gala" that was being attended by the royal family?!?
There's an attic somewhere that is missing it's occupant.

Who takes care of Ms. Love's child while she hops around the globe, stripping down to her unmentionables? Can you imagine how embarrassed her daughter will be?

She and Anna Nicole's son could start their own support group.

I had a scary thought, what would happen if Michael Jackson and Courtney Love would mate?

It seems to have a package, of sorts.
