AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION - Days 742 and 743) [Remember the Trade Center!!]

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail![President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Jimmy Carter says that President Bush has not made the case for war.

The United States and Great Britain, according to British dispatches, have given Iraq six more weeks - time that will be used to convince skeptical Arab countries and France to get on board for military action.

Satellite pictures indicate activity at the Yongbyon nuclear facility in North Korea showed that state may be about ready to produce plutonium for nuclear weapons.

And President Bush has signed a directive, the Washington Times is reporting, that allows nuclear weapons to be used in response to biological or chemical attacks.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

We're getting snow now, but they've down-graded the warning to a "Winter Weather Advisory". DUH! It's January! What other kind of weather would we be getting???

I need a recipe for fried rice with pork for tomorrow night.

Fry the rice, add the pork. ;>)

If you really want a recipe, let me know, and I'll grab one. I'm not good at fried rice yet and haven't experimented so far. But, I know someone that is.

Sure, I'm always willing to hear about cooking adventures.

I was very cranky when I got home. I was late, hungry, had a headache, and hate driving at night.

In honor of today being Candlemas Day, I prepared this Old World Candlemas Feast.

The only thing I didn't make was the candied violets; fresh violets are a tad bit hard to come by around here at this time of year.;^)

Also I could not find arugula or bibb so I substituted escarole to go with the watercress.

The cinnamon sauce for the beef was unusual but quite tasty. The herb rolls were superb, and the Bridecakes are sort of a cross between a cookie and a biscuit.

The dinner received generally favorable reviews.;^)

Nothing too fancy, I just like to watch Iron Chef, not be one. ;^) It's just that I have some leftover pork roast, and I've been craving some fried rice(really just something different).

How about rice and pork stuffed cabbage rolls or rice and pork stuffed bell peppers?

I'll ask Chef about a fried rice recipe tomorrow. But remind me. Lord knows my memory is not what it used to be. LOL!

Hey Mozie...

Heavy snow here.

Just got back from Confirmation class with my daughter, and the roads are lousy.

They say winter weather advisory here, but I still think we're gonna get more out of this then they think.

These guys are all over the map on who's gonna get what, so I am not counting on them for anything at this point.

No, I'm not a real big fan of cabbage, I especially hate cabbage rolls, and I'm allergic to bell peppers.

Is that all there is?? Or is it supposed to re-develop tomorrow??

This stuff will be out of here by midnight, from the looks of it, but they are still saying it's supposed to snow through tomorrow evening........

Total confusion.

Darlin' this is Louisiana, rice and sugarcane capitol of America. One thing we're never short of is good quality rice and sugar. ;^)
