Thanks MOlly. It has been great fun. Bret Schundler is such a cutie. I saw him again today in the hallway and we talked briefly. Mark my words after another 3 years of McGreevy the people of NJ will be begging Bret to run again.

You are a lucky man, Toby.
Years ago I volunteered to deliver meals to senior shut-ins. My boss told me I was to drop off the meal and leave. I couldn't. Those people were so lonely. Sometimes I was the only person they saw for months at a time. :-( It broke my heart. Often times there was family living nearby...but they never visited. Many times I would be a shoulder they would cry on...really cry.
I know you are joshin' us when you complain...I know you deeply appreciate your family...as we a should. Bless you, kind sir.

Beats me. Maybe because the school owners are so freeping cheap. LOL! That, and there are no chairs in a kitchen, but you almost have to have chairs for lectures.

You are a sharp cookie, how did you know.
Off to see what has happened in the world this afternoon, see ya'll in a bit.
Oh, forgot to tell you, stir fry rice with pork, gotta admit, it was good, a small portion of good but good.

Just had to tell somebody what I got in the mail today!
Cindy McCain sent me (and tons of other Arizonans I'm sure) an invitation to John McCain's 20th Anniversary Celebration on February 20th. "For 20 years, John McCain has represented the people of Arizona in Washington, D.C...." yada, yada, blah, blah, barf, barf!!!
Tickets are ONLY $1000! But of course I could also send whatever I can afford and my name will be printed in a special leather-bound album that will be presented to the Senator.
Guess the "Friends of John McCain" needs to upgrade its mailing list - LOL!!!
But seriously, I would guess this means he's running for something in 2004...

Thanks for that explanation of C-Span, MP. Between you, Jane and UG, I've learned a lot about this subject.
I just got back from sort of wrapping things up at that school I've been doing promotion for. I turned in hours, wrote a report, turned in receipts, etc. I can't say that the door there is closed completely, but it will probably be a while before there's a chance of working there full-time. And I just don't have a lot of desire to work there after these last couple of weeks.
Did I tell you that I spoke with the owner/director on Tuesday night? He had been in his office watching the SOTU address and his first comment to me on the phone was about how troubled he is by our lack of leadership in Washington. Made me kind of lose a lot of respect for him and even lowered my already sagging desire to work there.

I don't know if you would be interested in reading the article linked below, but it is a definite GAG alert article written by an assistant professor of sociology at Saginaw Valley State University in MI.
I didn't see this article - Helping Iraq Kill With Chemical Weapons - on FR, but I do miss seeing a lot of posts, so you could be familiar with this ugly screed against America, and particularly the Bush family:

sagging desire to work there.Prayers continue for your job situation.
I'll be spending Saturday and Sunday working for the only paycheck I'm getting now. About $192 for two days, once a month. LOL!

I need to quit using the tag line unless I remember to check it.
To: JRandomFreeper
It's hard to remember to change it every time. I've changed mine a few times, trying to come up with something I can use for a few days.
Your financial situation needs a lot of prayer too, doesn't it? God bless you, John.
Oh, and Happy Chinese New Year and welcome to the Year of the Goat/Sheep (depending on the translation).

Your financial situation needs a lot of prayer too, doesn't it?We're fine so far. I'm burning through savings/investments faster than anticipated, but so far, we're not suffering.
And one of my less liquid assets that I didn't expect to move until April may move next week. That's worth three house payments.
