AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 740) [Remember the Trade Center!!]

Hi Everybody! Nothing like being late to the party. And I'm even bringing a guest with me ...... :-)

My FRiend from the Dose, ReaganandDubyaForever, needs to practice a little html and posting. I told her that you good folks wouldn't mind a bit if she used the tail end of today's thread as HTML Boot Camp. Please be nice to her ..... she has a very worthy mission ...... posting a Psalm and a prayer list of FReeper family/friends who are being deployed. I have been doing this on the Dose the last few days but will be out of town tomorrow night. ReaganandDubyaForever volunteered to sub for me and wants to test out her skills here.

Update on my life ......

A very frustrating week ...... I've had the un-Midas touch. Big problem with incorrect W-2s that it's taken quite a while to straighten out ... and now I have to send out new, corrected copies to some employees ...... *sigh*

M-i-l went to see the neurosurgeon Wednesday afternoon. He is very reluctant to do the surgery (he said he'd rather take a beating than do it) but has agreed to ...... but only after Mom has seen a cardiologist. S-i-l is trying to arrange that now. The surgery will be scheduled probably a week or so after that appointment.

He told her that he could help her problem but not completely alleviate it ...... and there is a very high risk of her having a stroke or some other major complication after the surgery. He understands her position but isn't offering any encouragement at all ....... :-(

Daughter-child was planning on coming this weekend. She hasn't seen her grandmother in quite a while. It occurred to us that she passes within 30 minutes of s-i-l's home (where Mom is staying right now) on her way here. So we had a brainstorm ...... we're meeting her tomorrow night at a hotel near s-i-l's hometown and will all go visit with m-i-l and s-i-l for a while Saturday before coming on back here. We'll be leaving town tomorrow evening straight from work ...... not sure what time yet. I doubt if I will be here tomorrow though I will try to peep in if I have a chance.

Prayers for all of you ...... and try to keep the squirming down to a minimum .....

Sorry I didn't get back on until now.

We have Windows ME ( I know, terrible)

We had excellent service for one year. Then, last year service was awful.
This is for a single pc.
SBC is the DSL provider.

My screwy fix is to hook up to an audio channel to keep the line busy, so my line doesn't drop. When we have ten windows open looking for price look-ups that sure slows us down.

If you have any ideas I'll love you for life. Well, at least until June or July! hehehe
