Since you are slow to respond, Mr. Mullinger, I have taken the liberty to respond for you with a quote from the Prez's speech lasrt night:

Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike? If this threat is permitted to fully and suddenly emerge, all actions, all words, and all recriminations would come too late. Trusting in the sanity and restraint of Saddam Hussein is not a strategy, and it is not an option.

imho your attitude towards fellow Christians -- some of whom will be blown up while on their knees having morning devotions -- is strange. They are the flesh and blodd of Jesus Christ.

You are in material breach of reason and fact to say that SDH kills more on weekends. Seveal hundred or hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's may die before we prevail. Maybe many many less. Maybe, if nukes start flying, more. SDH has NOT targeted the indigenous, and ancient, Christian population for destruction, like other Muslim nations have.

Your valid point is about the bomb, but it raises a double standard most Conservatives ignore. What makes NKor, South Africa, Pakistan, or India for that matter, any better than SDH when it comes to having nukes?? Surely if we justify war vs. Saddam for this reason, then we most not obfuscate and pretend that we should not launch a campaign to destroy Paki and NK and SAFrica (now that the commies are partly in control there) nuclear capability. Why do they get free entry into the nuclear club???? w/o threat of war?

well, i think i may go back to bed after all. I'll leave you happy with more doubleplusgood quotes from the Prez...What he says about freedom is historically and theologically wrong, but it does sound good. Freedom, both personal and national, can only come through fidelity to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is this so-called "puritan" "theocratic" truth that church leaders are shy to proclaim in an age of false and dangerous tolerance.

Americans are a free people, who know that freedom is the right of every person and the future of every nation. The liberty we prize is not America's gift to the world, it is God's gift to humanity.

We Americans have faith in ourselves — but not in ourselves alone.

We do not claim to know all the ways of Providence, yet we can trust in them, placing our confidence in the loving God behind all of life, and all of history.

Since you are slow to respond, Mr. Mullinger,

I know you and Mr. Mulliner are friends from way back....but there is one little ground rule here....we don't insult each other trying to win our argument.
