Very sorry to hear about that problem with the dog, John. May God comfort you and your daughters.

More dog problems here, too. I had determined to leave those dogs together to let them work it out. But then after I was working out there and ready to leave, they got serious and were going at each other. I let Shadow out and she's inside now. But I'm ticked at Maggie for being such a jerk.

I called Lonny's best friend tonight just before the president started talking. We had a nice talk, partly talking over old times and also talking about Lonny. He and Lonny are/were like anchors because they stayed put after graduation and know almost everyone there that I know.

A security event happened tonight. VP Cheny's pager went off. And then there were phones going off. Then, after the speech, on the way out, (remember, I read lips) President Bush said "I know, we'll talk about it later" to a congress-critter when asked about it.

I would sorely love to know what was on Cheney's pager.
