I was under the impression that the march to the black gates was a somber affair overlaid with a sense of doom rather than something that got the blood up.I'm assuming that speech of Aragorn's was done before the battle of the Pellenor Fields. I was thinking I could see Minas Tirith in the backgroud.

When would he have time to give such a speech alongside the riders of Rohan? If M.T. was under siege when they and then he arrive it would seem odd to halt, give a pep talk and then fight while a battle was already ongoing.
