It's James Galway, not Galloway! George Galloway, that Scottish lunatic! No thanks! James Galway is an Irish flutist, and one of the best in the world.

I wonder what that Annie Lennox song will be like! A real tear jerker I bet, and maybe an Oscar winner! :-)

It won't be too long before we hear this either, judging by how things have gone last time, the CD is normally leaked online about 3 or 4 weeks before its public release.

I like her voice a lot! Did you ever see the video for "Walking on Broken Glass"? John Malkovich was in it, as was Hugh Laurie. I also like her more recent single "No More, I Love You". I think that's the name of it. I always like the music when she was in 'The Eurythmics'

Yes, she has such a very strong and beautiful voice, very diverse too. Perfect choice for LOTR! I really can't wait to hear it, and wow, James Galway too, this is a heavy hitting line up of featuring artists!

So, do we want to discuss what we think the track titles mean, and how they'll relate to the order of the movie?

I remember when ecurb published the snippets of the two towers soundtrack...

I hate to tell you this, but he really needs to get on this just as soon as he gets settled in! I'm afraid your henpecking days are going to have to begin as soon as he walks in the door!

It's your duty as a Hole Dweller...

I just love the titles!

If it's got anything in it like the Rohirrim theme from TTT...I'm gonna love it. I still feel a catch in my throat whenever I hear the music, accompanying Eowyn, watching the flag of Rohan blowing away...

That violin gives me goosebumps each and every time.

Here's what I think:

"A Storm is Coming" - Opening scene of the gathering forces of Mordor

"Hope and Memory" - Smeagol's reflection on his past...scene when he remembers killing Deagol.

"Minas Trith" - Self explanatory

"The White Tree" - same

"The Steward of Gondor" - same

"Minas Morgul" - Sam, Frodo, and Gollum ascend and witness the emptying of Minas Morgul

"The Ride of The Rohirrim" - This should be awesome. The ride to, and eventual charge at Pelennor fields?

"Twilight and Shadow" - Paths of the Dead?

"Cirith Ungul" - 'nuff said

"Anduril" - 'nuff said

"Shelob’s Lair" - 'nuff said. Although, I thought Sam and Frodo's adventures at Cirith Ungol happened AFTER their adventure in Shelod's lair?

"Ash and Smoke" - Trek through Mordor

"The Fields of the Pelennor" - Epic, epic stuff

"Hope Fails" - Mouth of Sauron showing Frodo's Mithril shirt to Gandalf & Co?

"The Black Gate Opens" - The crud hits the fan.

"The End of All Things" - Mt. Doom

"The Return of The King" - Coronation & Wedding

"The Grey Havens" - Fetch my Kleenex

"Into the West" - More tears to follow

Cirith Ungol is Shelob's Lair. Cirith meaning "Pass" and Ungol meaning "spider".

It's confusing but "doubtless it will be made clear in time".

I thought Cirith Ungol was the tower where Frodo was held?

You know, I always thought that they took him to a chamber in Minas Morgul...but looking at it now, it seems they took him to "a tower" that guards Cirith Ungol! So you are right, it is part of the Spider Pass!

Still confusing to me though...about the names of the music!

I guess Shelob's Lair is the actual tunnel she lives in and perhaps the Cirith Ungol part is where Sam finds Frodo naked in the chamber?

Oh, Hair's gonna love that part...

;-)
